Friend click on "quick offer to download", don't know if his computer is safe...

he clicked to download 7-zip, it downloaded, he clicks on it..... *faceplam*, something install n happens, all his icons beside volume, network like steam etc. disappear except 4 volume n network and anti-virus shows nothing and then I told him 2 download malwaresbytes to check for anything.

You mean...Malwarebytes, right? And not "malwares." He might be able to use System Restore to get rid of it. However, some malware copy themselves into System Restore points.

I would recommend Malware Bytes but I would personally reformat my computer.
