DSLR buy --------------------> Happy Holidays everyone ! :)

Go to solution Solved by Philosobyte,

Well i put images in front of Videos, but video quality should be decent too.

You would probably prefer the D3300/D3200, then.

What kind of DSLR camera model you guys recommend me ? ( I am amateur who wants to buy his first dslr )

Price range: 400-500euro for just the body. I will think about what lenses i need after i buy the body

I looked at this two models so far: Nikon D3300 // Sony a58  Feel free to recommend other models i will buy whatever you guys recommend me, becuase i dont understand that much mysel. Just want to get the best for this price and be happy with it.

-snip-

Any of those models are a good choice, maybe the Nikon D3100 or D3200 as I have had experience with these and they are actually really good. Happy Holidays to you to! :D

Do you see images and video as about equally important, or do you value one of them much more than the other?

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-G7 is a great, underrated hybrid, at $600 USD with a good 14-42mm lens (it's not available in body only). But it has a micro four thirds sensor, so it won't have as narrow of a depth of field as cameras with APS-C or full-frame sensors.
