Cooler Master V8 GTS ram compatibility

Go to solution Solved by zonetrooper90,

Just a follow-up post...

I wrote to Cooler Master and got the awnser... the cooler is compatible with ram up to 50mm in height...

Does anyone know how high ram modules can be to still fit with this cooler? I am using high profile Vengeance ram, and if I can avoid buying new ram, that would be great... I have been looking around the web for the answer, but I can't seem to find it anywhere... The Cooler Master website doesn't say anything about this which I find really annoying... Hope you guys can help me.. :-)

Yes, it looks like they will fit, but I don't want to buy the cooler before I know there is enough room for it...

That's why I haven't bought it yet, Dominator Platinum is tall and the GTS is relatively expensive. I don't want to get it only to have it not fit.

So it is a No Go... As shown in corsair website FAQ section  <_<

Its height is 54mm.

is the 54mm measured from the actual PCB of the motherboard or from the top of the DIMM slot?

I'm glad someone found the answer to this, as I'm looking at putting G.Skill Trident Z memory into my build, and those are 44mm in height, so they'll juuuuuuuuuuust fit!
