LG announces "Rolly" keyboard

FakezZ

Unlike ultra-flexible foldable keyboards, the Rolly is made of solid plastic, which gives it a more tactile feel, LG claims; it's also supposedly more comfortable because it's just shy of the 18mm key pitch found on most desktop keyboards. Two tiny plastic arms fold out from the end of the keyboard to support a tablet or smartphone, and it can toggle between two different Bluetooth-connected devices at a time. Battery life is an expected three months on a single AAA battery.

Here is also a video:

My opinion: It looks pretty good, but imho it would be absolutely perfect if it had a touchpad... I understand that then it wouldn't be able to fold up like that, but they would be able to find a way around that I'm sure. But all in all, while it might be comfortable and stuff, I would probably rather use a laptop than a tablet for anything remotely serious.

Edit the post so that it's as a quote, not like code.

Any pricing information? I would pay like $25 for a plastic keyboard like this to go with lets say and iPad.

haha sorry but if it is to be used on an ipad then it will be at least $150

Edit the quote and select Automatic color please, not everyone sees black letters on a black background.  Gray letters on a grayer background xD

Don't see way a trackpoint couldn't be incorporated, if you think you could use it.

Uhhh I have used one of these, unfortunately... I'd rather type commands in a terminal without a gui than use this thing xD

They're not my favourite either, but it can be better than using touch for some things.  Though I've only ever encountered one laptop with it that was worth a damn, the rest were...not particularly pleasant.  Another thought would be taking a page from blackberry's playbook(no pun intended) and incorporating a touch enabled keyboard.

(bb passport touch keyboard)

you know what? I bought something better than this like 10 years ago, if folded in half and was super thin, uses Bluetooth, powered by two AAA batteries, has tons of battery

When folded its about wallet size or the size of an iPhone 6 plus

It still works today with iOS and Android
