Logitech g710 + or CM Storm Trigger

Rekx
Go to solution Solved by MdX MaxX,

Good choice. :) The Storm Trigger is a spectacular keyboard, but the G710+ comes with o-rings under the keycaps, which are great if you're looking for a really quiet keyboard.

The deffient between those were i live is aobut 10 bucks, so what keyboard should i choose, i really like the logitech g710+ but the orange color is my style (i can porberly paint it black) so therefore i cant deside which of those keyboard i shall pick :P

So what do the linus community think?

I would say G710+ but only because I have used one and not used a CM Storm Trigger. The G710+ has some magic as well as just the Brown switches to make it feel awesome, almost as nice as my Blues. But keyboards are so much about personal preference. Try and test both boards out before you choose. See if stores have display models.

I got a trigger and it's great but it has some software annoyances. it's really restrictive to program (i didn't realize the m keys were ONLY macro keys-you can't map them to other keys directly or launch programs from them at least as of now. the software isn't very good either) and kinda huge. i'm loving the large wrist wrest though and the entire thing feels great. I'd go for the 710+ but i haven't used it, i'm going on other peoples descriptions and my experience with logitech software.

I'm a bit biased as I have the Trigger (blues), so I would say that. Now that I have it, I wouldn't be able to handle anything else.

That said, the G710+ is still a phenomenal keyboard and I doubt you'll be disappointed.

EDIT: I love blues, so that's one reason I wouldn't go for the G710+. The other reason is aesthetics. Both are personal preference.

I would go for the trigger because it has switch options and has a better build

Edit: the only nice thing about the 710+ is the software and that it comes with orings but you can always get those later.

I got it today and im really happy with it. It took some time to get use too but after two or three houres it got better with the typping which this keyboad is awesome for, the same goes for gaming, thogh the keyboard is a bit smaller then my isku it is something i will have to get  use to.

But thanks for the people that took the time to vote and comment :)

Enjoy, that's a fantastic keyboard! Even after a day or two, I was still growing into my MX Brown keyboard. The lighter key switches really take some getting use to. :)

The only problem is the wirst rest which is a bit short compared to my roccat isku, but it is also a thing i need to get use to. Off cause i could just buy a leather wirst rest or something like that, but i rather buy a keyboard where i have everthing i need, and i dont need to carry things arround.

I was just going to say take it off and use a aftermarket one as their usually nicer anyway. What are you doing lugging a fullsize keyboard around?
