Making 1440p look decent on a 1080p monitor

Is there anything I can do to make 1440p look decent on my 1080p monitor? 

Obviously, I dont expect anything amazing....just better than the default way it looks when just upping the resolution.

How exactly did you get to 1440p on a 1080p monitor?

 

I doubt you can do anything to improve it, and there isn't much point of doing it anyways as there is still the exact same number of pixels in the monitor.

DSR, and the reason I'd do it is for more screen space.

You should go for double pixels like 4k or leave it at 1080p... Anything in between will just blur the shit out of the image because the pixels are square things.

If 4k didn't make everything uncomfortably small, I'd already be doing that. /and with large text scaling the text is too big and defeats the purpose...not to mention other apps still look very small (and it still doesn't look a ton better than 1440p)
