CPU temperature monitoring software

Speedbird

Hi

It looks like every single thermal monitoring program in existance has some problems. CPUID HWMonitor reports incorrect numbers (60C idle), CoreTemp crashes as soon as I launch it and RealTemp doesn't recognise my APU. Is there anything else I can try? My CPU is an A10-7850K.

Not really useful for checking temps under load.

Have you tried MSI Afterburner?

It monitors your CPU, GPU and RAM and can be extra handy for benchmarking because all data is logged to a single file meaning you don't have to synchonise the data from different components later.

Rig: i7 2600K @ 4.2GHz, Larkooler Watercooling System, MSI Z68a-gd80-G3, 8GB G.Skill Sniper 1600MHz CL9, Gigabyte GTX 670 Windforce 3x 2GB OC, Samsung 840 250GB, 1TB WD Caviar Blue, Auzentech X-FI Forte 7.1, XFX PRO650W, Silverstone RV02 Monitors: Asus PB278Q, LG W2243S-PF (Gaming / overclocked to 74Hz) Peripherals: Logitech G9x Laser, QPad MK-50, AudioTechnica ATH AD700

Only monitors usage, not temps.

It does monitor temperature. I think you may have to enable the temp monitoring in the settings though.

Actually tried the Gigabyte EZ-Tune thing. Even though the hardware information is complete BS, at least the temps are correct.

are you sure the mounting of your cooler isn't incorrect?

Yup. It's the stock cooler, pretty hard to screw that up.
