will we one day laugh at how slow computers are now?

zombiepixel

Yea I bet like 20 or more years later people will be like:  I have 6 Nvidia GTX1000 and Intel Core i14 10 core processor how will Battlefield 25 run?

Well it's more likely that it will be extremely small (smartphone sized) with only one gpu and however many cores the cpu needs. More like a APU that runs full body motion feed back and a hologram.

-my first computer had 3kb of ram memory (Commodore Vic-20)

-on the 80s I worked in a company where the hadr drives were the size of two washing machines lined up = storage 700mb

-At that time I used to dream with a PC with 1Mb of ram

Im sure at some point we will be talking about "KiloCores" and "MegaCores" and perhaps speaking about these subjects with our own computers.

Bots wil be become very interesting for that time...

I think in a few years we'll be looking back and laughing at the power consumption/inefficiency of our present components, efficiency seems to be where it's all at right now.

Makes me giggle that we have significantly more computing power in a mobile phone that Apollo did going to the moon, can't wait to see what we'll have in years to come.
