Noctua alternative

Hello guys,

I'm not to happy with the color of my Noctua fans. 

I will be building a new system soon and I'm looking for some fans.

I'll be needing 14 fans.

13-120mm

1-140mm

I will be going with a Red and black build. 

The E-blockers sound awesome, but I don't know how well they go with red and black

Get some corsair sp 120 and 140 quiet editions. They come with the removable color rings, and could work with a red and black build.

scythe Gentle Typhoon ap-45 are supposed to be excellent for radiators have a black housing and a White blade that could then be dyed.

Only the AF series come in 140mm not the SP so watch out for that :D

He did not specify where the 140mm fan was going so i went with the information I had.

I do not reccommed swiftech helix they many look like AP-15s but they nothing like AP-15s

 

the helix under-volt better with less click/hum. from having 10 AP-15 fans on a build to

replacing them with helix was cheaper and less mechanical noise. 7v to all of the AP-15

was a mouse-trap rattle-fest.

i agree, i swapped auto my aerocool shark fans for the corsairs af's , and they are perfect for my all rog build :p used the red rings and going to try to get a red led strip and my system wil look awesome for a pure air cooled build! + they are SO SILENT , i just check sometimes if they are even running, truly great fans

Bitfenix Spectre Pro LED fans have a black transparent frame and fan which will match your build if you choose the Red LED one.

14 fans? Ouch..  I wouldn't be surprised if you end up spending $200...

 

Those Corsair fans are weird... Mine don't love fan controllers, they make this "steel brush on concrete" noise. I try them on a mb fan head and they're much better.

Agreed, after spending a ridiculous amount of money on cooling, these are the fans I've settled on. They move a lot of air for how quiet they are and look fantastic.

For 120mm fans, that will peform about as well as noctuas, get Cougar Vortex fans, if not those go for Phobya nano-2G PWM fans, they will match your red/black theme perfectly.
