Is this a Decent build?

Hi all, I just wanted to know if this was a decent build for gaming, I won't be doing OC and I want to make a new system, I was just going orignally going to build a PC with the parts in my pre-build but now I may just want to make a full new one, so I was wondering if this was ok, and yes I know the pricing is inflated. Anyways, so my budget is 1k to 1.3k SGD and I will be using a 1600x900 monitor since I don't want to upgrade it yet, so I don't need a super high end GPU, hence why I chose the R7 260x
Here are the price lists I used:

Feel free to make improvents that will save cost and make it cheaper but will still be good, and please use one of the pricelists too see if that part cost is cheaper that what is what is stated. Also note, I need the i5 because it will be useful for rendering, and I know pricing will change but this is here for now. Thanks for reading and your help.

Edit: All of this is in Singapore Dollar and for the SSD, I will find one at a IT show, hence I left it out.

Should I change to a R9 270 then? But I am waiting for prices to drop so I can save, I mean it is already expensive as hell, and I just want to be able to play games on high settings at 40ish FPS or so, I mean my 7750 can do it at 30 so I think it should be fine.

You can do that with a 260x @ 1080p. It's a re branded 7850.

PC: Corsair C70 Arctic, FX 9370, Corsair H80i, Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3, Corsair Vengence 16gb, Palit JetStream GTX 970, OCZ Vertex 4 128gb and Western Digital Blue 1Tb + 500gb, Antec Gamer 520w

Oh, I won't be buying a monitor most likely so I am going to use a 1600X900 20" for temp, so I should be good right? I only am keeping it because this is the best res for a 7750, so Until I buy a new rig, I am stuck with my current pc

Just wanted to know, if I add a future R7 260x too, will it be any beneficial? like a year down the line after building this? Then I may get a z97, unless H97 can also use CFX

Edit: Can H97 crossfire? Since it says on the board it is able to?

X-Fire is very loose for multi gpu setups

but looking at the specs

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H97M%20Pro4/?cat=Specifications

 1 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 Slot (PCIE1: x16 mode)
- 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 Slot (PCIE2: x4 mode)
- 2 x PCI Slots
- Supports AMD Quad CrossFireX™ and CrossFireX™

the second slot only runs a 4x speed with PCI-E gen 2.0

the second GPU might get choked and may affect the whole gpu setup

Not for the time being, I will be using a 1600x900 res for now since I don't want to waste any spare cash but I will a new monitor later on, and maybe a higher end gpu

Yea, I will just go with a Higher end GPU when I got the money and when SLS has a sale then, thanks for the help.

rather get a $100 cpu i have a amd 6150 that for me was $100 as when you play games you are not bound by your cpu its not a msssive factor in gaming the fps difference between mine and an i7 in games is 2-5 fps but with the money you save on your cpu you can afford a miles better gpu and play and get 60fps easy on full settings playing at 30-45 is fine but you have to have the settings on lower and plus if you are playing at 30 fps then your dips will go down to like 10fps and you will notice that and it will bother you a lot, if you dont get a good gpu now you will end up doing in the future, and on the price drops the price of gpu's stay the same until the new generation come out and then the cards drop down by only like $20-$30 most of the time so dont hold out for p

try amazon bro really.

I know the prices are pretty inflated here so you can shop around and see where will net you the best deal.

for example.

you can get a 8320 for 200sgd

840 evo 120gb for 100sgd

this two only $10 shipping.

if you can keep everything under 400sgd you can save on the gst.

i bought my H105 from amazon. i need to top up $50 if I buy from simlim.

fans also save like $10-20

try to go for a 270/270x, it will be better to balance your build.

also cybermind has 2% discount for cash payment i believe. (i can't remember if 2 or 4 but definitely got discount for cash)

so the pricelist is not nett.

Ok, but prob is I don't have a credit card, and it is harder to convince parents to let me use theirs, I may try use Cybermind, but Fuwell tends to be a little more trustable since they allow replacements within 30 days of purchase, also I know a 270 would be ideal, but then again prices will go down by the time I get enough cash, thanks for the advice though, on cybermind discount, but I don't get why they did not give it to me when I bought a 7750 from them, still payed full price.

Ok, but can I ask, 1155 and 1150 have the same mounting holes right? and 1150 has a backplate? Because then I could maybe replace the cooler in my pre-built with the intel stock cooler, but also note that my room  is pretty hot, it stays around 35 degrees cel or 95 Fahrenheit

Can't get a debit card, not 16 yet, I will make adjustments to save some money and hopefully all goes well, maybe in the end of the year prices will go down far enough I could move to a 280 or something, Time will tell.

. . .

LGA 1155 and LGA 1150 have the same cooler mount dimensions and the coolers compatible with one are compatible with the other.

The stock cooler should be fine under most conditions. During extended periods of high load you might find that the cpu throttles itself, i.e. reduces clock speed. If that happens enough to interfere with use then an aftermarket cooler would make sense.

But then I would need to format the HDD then?

So does that mean I could use the Pre-Built PCs CPU cooler? Since it is coolermaster and looks a bit more beefy.

Edit: Also I will be doing alot of rendering over night so it will be in intensive load

But then I would need to format the HDD then?

Edit: Also this motherboard seems to only come with 2, but I have 3 sata devices

oh i see, in that case yeah just get a sata cable. a few bucks at any of the stores there.

you can clone the hdd to the sdd but i would personally reformat and do a clean install.

Ok, then I kind of would like to buy the SSD at the start though, save the trouble of formating, but I did see that PC Themes has bundle offers, now there are some good options I could choose, so maybe I could get one of those and a better gpu and keep the SSD
