Which 1440p display to buy?

itsLaakso

Hi everyone!

I've been looking around for an 27" 1440p IPS high Hz for some time now, but I can't really make my mind up about which one to buy.

For context, I want a display that has good color accuracy, hence the IPS. Because I edit photos and such. But also something that's really good for gaming. I've also seen the Nano IPS displays from LG, but are those worth the extra cost?

Thankful for any answers!

I'd look at a 27GL850-B from LG or a VG27AQ from ASUS.

At $450-500 they seem to offer the best mix of colour accuracy and speed/refresh rate, when it comes to 27" 1440p panels.

Here's Rtings' reviews on them:

You haven't mentioned a budget though, so... for all I know these could be way too expensive.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC

Oh sorry, forgot to mention that. But $450 - $550 is my budget. So those are definitely worth looking into.

Thanks!

iirc the dell s2721dgf has the same panel as those, but better ergonomics, brightness, QC, and warranty. its been on sale often for under 400 bucks over the past few weeks and it seems everyone likes it

oh and they upped the refresh rate to 165hz out of the box instead of 144
