So wait for zen 3 then buy the ryzen 5 3600?

Up to you. My point was that you would then potentially have the choice of the 4600, or whatever, at the same price or the 3600 for cheaper. It might not pan out that way, but it would kind of suck to buy a 3600 today and then find out you could have got the 4600 for the same price a couple of months later. If you just want to go now, though, the 3600 is totally decent and will serve you well. You just have to decide what's more important to you: now or waiting, cheaper or more performance.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X · Cooler: Artic Liquid Freezer II 280 · Motherboard: MSI MEG X570 Unify · RAM: G.skill Ripjaws V 2x16GB 3600MHz CL16 (2Rx8) · Graphics Card: ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Ti TUF Gaming · Boot Drive: 500GB WD Black SN750 M.2 NVMe SSD · Game Drive: 2TB Crucial MX500 SATA SSD · PSU: Corsair White RM850x 850W 80+ Gold · Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow · Monitor: MSI Optix MAG342CQR 34” UWQHD 3440x1440 144Hz · Keyboard: Corsair K100 RGB Optical-Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (OPX Switch) · Mouse: Corsair Ironclaw RGB Wireless Gaming Mouse

Gotcha, I think I can manage for a couple months. But is my ram bad?
