The Accelero Xtreme III or IV for RTX 2080 Windforce 8G

Crowncobra

Hello All,

I need advice regarding better aircooler for my RTX 2080 as the stock cooler is too noisy. I came across a post on reddit that says the Accelero Xtreme III fits my card. Was wondering if the IV is better than the III and if it fits. I saw in a video that the IV memory and VRM cooling is not enough but no proof i saw. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Is that Windforce cooler really that bad? You are sure its not your case airflow to blame?

the guys on reddit says that III fits without any modifcations. but i dont know if IV will be better or will cool the memory and vrm well.

the temps are not my problem the noise is hell, like jet plan taking off. max temp currently 78C with boost leveling at around 1650 mhz

Just making sure as some people run cards in closed boxes and wonder why rpm:s are rocketing. Arctic Coolers are good but with the IV youll need to buy small heatsinks and thermal glue separately for vrms and memory. The back plate only cooling is not enough imo if you run the fans quietly.

What case is that? If it has tiny vent holes for those front intake fans, you could be better off upgrading to Phanteks p400a/p300a or Cooler Master nr600 as bad cases add 10-15C on gpu temps and you have to run the fans on much higher rpms to keep temps below 80C.

I'd use a III as it comes with all the lil heatsinks etc.

I put one on one of my GTX970s and it made a heck of a difference, massive long, but nice and silent too...
