No gpu output when trying to use middle Pice 16x slot

ah im using a 2400g so i only have 8 pcie lanes to begin with maybe that is the problem?

If you have a Ryzen 2400G, then yes, you only have PCI-E X8 to begin with.

It will be only a X8 top + X0 middle option (again, excluding the third X4 slot).

did you slot it correctly and add power cables if needed

Either tag or quote me when responding to me. I won't see otherwise

Sorry if I don't respond right away. I could be sleeping, helping someone else, or away from my computer or phone

Put a reaction on my post if i helped

What I say is from my experience, and sometimes from the internet. It may not be 100% correct

Have a good day

Yes was sloted correctly and power cables were in correct as well.

Board  Rog Strix x470-f Gaming

Gpu Xfx 580 xxx edition

Just run the gpu in the top slot, its the only one that is x16, and will give a small boost to performance.

no i have two 16x slots top and middle

The motherboard PCI-E X16 slots configuration is either this (excluding bottom X16 slot because it is coming from the X470 motherboard chipset) :

  • Top X16 + middle X0
  • Top X8 + middle X8

What type / model Ryzen CPU are you using?

In the BIOS, under the Advanced tab, do you see a PCIEX16_2 Bandwidth option?

If there is (DEPENDS on the CPU you have), options should be [X8 Mode] and [PCIe RAID Mode]

What I said above, but your motherboard *might* not allow the top slot to be empty, from referring to the motherboard manual.
