Did Amazon Send Me A Used AIO?

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

So I just got my new Corsair h115i pro rgb aio in today and was looking through the box. Everything looked fine until I noticed that there is either used thermal paste on there or just a terrible application of thermal paste. I have my own, so it’s not a big deal to clean off and use my own, but I didn’t pay new price for a used product. Do you think it’s used?

Looks used to me from my experience.  All the air colors with pre-applied and both my AIO's that came pre-applied do not look like that.

Might be or just “defective.” I have a H100i, it looked nothing like that.

I would watch an unboxing video and observe how it is packaged, should make it easier to find out if it is used.

Either used or the warehouse it was stored in experience some high temperature weather, then low temps.. Etc.

In any case, contact Amazon about it. Worst case scenario, you'll get some in-store credit back.

I apologize for the way I am. If my post seemed rude, that was not my intention. Just my ineptness in forming a nice coherent message.

Yep I think that’s what I’ll be doing.

All the unboxings I watched had plastic wrap around the box and instructions underneath styrofoam. I had neither of those so I’m thinking it’s used.

Thanks for the quick comments everyone.

I’ll do that too. I just looked closer and noticed that the baggies for mounting equipment were torn open, so this is definitely used.

It can happen.   I received a 3600 instead of my 3900x I ordered a while back.   Even had the 3900x sticker on the box sealing it.  Amazon made it right.
