Is there any negative impact to a phone such as the Samsung Galaxy s3, if I am watching youtube on it for 2 hours a day?

Other than draining the battery, no.

EDIT: The beauty of an S3 is that you can just buy a new battery.

Other than possibly draining your battery faster from being on the phone so long, I don't think so. You may have your battery life go down faster from having to charge the phone more often, but since it's an older phone, you can order a replacement battery for around $10-20 if the battery goes bad. You should be fine.

I mostly speak from my own past experience from similar problems. My solution may not work for you, but I'll always try my best to help as much as I can. If you want me to see your reply, make sure to quote my comment or mention me @WaggishOhio383, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks! I was worried like if it was going to like affect the life of the phone. But battery is no issue to me!

Not really realistic, but i guess that you could get some burn-in if you watch content with static elements

int[] a = new int[]{76, 79, 76};
for(int b : a) {
     System.out.print((char) b);
}

Thats considered normal usage.

It has an IPS screen. I doubt even showing a static image for 2 hours a day will cause any burn-in.

How would you define a Static image?

I am sorry, i thought it was an (S?)AMOLED. If it's IPS then there will of course be no problem.

What i define as a "static image" would be something like a channel logo in the corner btw

int[] a = new int[]{76, 79, 76};
for(int b : a) {
     System.out.print((char) b);
}

2 hours a day. Those are rookie numbers, lol. The silicon in your phone is going to degrade no matter what so might as well laugh at some cats while it happens. It impacts your battery but so does everything else. You'll be fine OP.

If you can use modded version of YouTube such YouTube vanced you can reduce some of negative effects such as ads showing which may circularly helpful to to stop heavy battery draining.Works on both rooted and non-rooted devices.Anyway, you eyes will be damaged as yo are going to stare at a screen for two hours and I do not think the duration you are going to utilize for the purpose will be shorter than now when time passes..

In Firefox, there is an extension called YouTube Enhancer. I don't recommend any other type of adblocker or app, unless they are official and approved by Mozilla. I use a combo of that and Privacy Badger. Most other extensions/programs like the one @Vera mentioned have the chance of carrying malware, ransomware, and adware. I don't recommend that one. You can also switch to Tor Browser designed by the Tor Project, specifically for YouTube and it will block ads and other similar content in settings. Google doesn't like that browser though, so you may not be able to sign in to your account with certain settings enabled.
