Try what @Glenwing suggested.

Hi everyone,

I have searched for that problem but no resoults so here i am.

I have "upgraded" recently to gtx 970 (mo brothers spare parts, still better that my radeon hd 5850 ;) ). And in games so far all is good but in windows i have a problem with resolution setting. Usually if i set any resolution it does not match my screen. It either go out of bounds or leave black lines on either edges or up/down of monitor. The weird part is that it can give me different resoults on the same resolution. I.e my old resolution was 1440x900 so i started with it. When i set it in windows it usually gives me screen with black stripes on upper od lower part of monitor. But if i go to lower resolution THAN switch to 1440 x 900 it gives me stripes on left and right, and just a moment ago for some reason it gave me just a small window with unusable stripes around the monitor. When i go change the resolution in nVidia control panel it is good, it matches my monitor. But i want to change it to 1920x1080 and here, no matter where i change it it goes out of monitor bound leaving just a bit of windows task bar visible and icons on top of monitor. It also gives me not so great UI graphics.

So i could leave it as it is on 1440x900, thats not a problem but i wanted to test my PSVR with PC as it is an option and my pc is presumable VR ready now. It works but my eyes are not aligned and they are crossed and ofc its unusable. The only solution i found is that my resolution is not set to 1920x1080 but it is, but i assume it is connected to the above problem.

So.

1) Im using a 32' tv as a screen and connect it via HDMI but i checked it with my friends monitor connected with DVI-D, its exactly the same.

2) Iv upgraded to the latest drivers 2 or 3 times.

3) I have tried "Adjust desktop size and position" in nVidia control panel, and...well it worked to some extend but only when i set it up to 1842x1026...thats not the solution im looking for a specialy that it does not help with VR.

Im attaching photo of my friends monitor set to 1920x1080 with bezels on top and bottom so you will see. Obviously its a photo not a screen shot as it would not show on one. 84273430_657404081667965_2180879673016188928_n.thumb.jpg.5890ae3ca82613bf2465f48c80589813.jpg

In NVIDIA control panel, i cant seems to see this option in windows options...

~~Edit

Ok found it. I mean i saw it many times but by description i though it only works on icons and text etc. So the scaling goes only on 100-500% and i need something like 95%. I also ticked "let windows try to fix apps so they're not blurry" as google suggest, did not work.
