Windows freshly installed. And i play on 3440x1440 120hz native. Is this low fps or is it the game or whats going on. Some maps i get good 120-140 fps. But nothing higher that. Game is modern warfare. I wanna check if my frequencys are okay

Cod sucks. I had cod 4 and it wouldn't run good on any settings despite my good system.

If you don't have problems in other games id say it's the game or maybe driver issues.

Not too sure for this one.

For reference though- I have a 3600 and GTX 1080- play on the same resolution and I average around 70-80

You have the rat tracing setting off in the game as well right?
If the games on max, check your per core usage. One core is prolly maxed out. I always forget what settings do it.

But those frames on 1440p ultrawide with max settings seem fine to me. Assuming it’s multiplayer on a big or decent sized map.

I haven’t had an issue myself but I ended up turning my settings down as 120 frames wasn’t playable.

But a few friends with 9900k’s are having a bit of stutter even with just a 1080ti in standard 1440.

But I did have frame issues on the last cod because of the cpu being pinned.

Like I said it’s the game. Certain settings do it. Idk about the frame thing as I get over 200 normally but the game defaulted itself and left it. So it isn’t an engine issue with frames.

Can’t say. Need to annotate the systems performance and go from there. Watch gpu usage and system usage from a second monitor and see what effects it the most. Also mess with some settings.

Assuming that you are having the issue from the game. You didn’t check to see and I can’t say for sure without seeing that. But you’d always want to see the system usage with a cod game to make sure there isn’t an issue.

like the last cod needed to be modded to recognize anything over 4 cores.

I have no idea how that card would/should perform in the game at that res.

Everything. The system.
usage per core, ram speed and usage. Gpu usage and speed. The drives the os is on as well as the game. Anything hardware to narrow down it being software, for the most part.

Well I don’t use on screen stuff much anymore. All my rigs have 2+ monitors.
so I just use task manager.

I believe after burner or something can select per core to show up osd.

I can barely see anything with that on my phone.

But you can just run the task manager in the back ground and check it afterward.

select show per core on the cpu and change the refresh rate to slow.

Well doesn’t seem to be an issue then. Gpu is as max according to the video and cpu is fine. So it seems like that’s the best that card can do in the game at those settings.

They aren’t. Not at the same res you are maxed out.
Map and game type play a large factor.

May have to check the settings of the game. If you know someone with the same setup getting those frames anyway.
