How do I remove a password on file in cmd?

I made my own file about 2 years ago, I found my usb stick, and I forgot my file password, how do I remove it? I tried everything. Passwords I know/remember, tried to guess, tried to remember, etc etc

Generally you need to know the password of things like this to remove them, otherwise it defeats the purpose of the password in the first place

You could try running EaseUS Data Recovery on the drive to see if there’s another copy of the file that hasn’t been password protected, but there’s no guarantee it’ll work.

Yea, but I forgot it though

Your computer doesn't care if you forgot it. It wants the password, if you don't have it, chances are you won't be able to access it again... Because that's why passwords exist

How is it an ad, it's a well known data recovery software?

huh?

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

Let me explain, if there was a revision of this file that was previously saved or deleted but never password protected then the user may still be able to recover that version of it. It may not, and probably won't be the finalized revision but most people are happy with anything if they thought their file was entirely gone.

I've used EaseUS Data Recovery with great success, it's not an ad or endorsement it's just my experience with it.

try brute forcing it.

On your own computer of course. Not telling you to commit cyber crimes here.
