Just check some benchmarks on youtube, the RX 570 is fine, you'll just be limited to like 45-60fps in the average AAA game, but you can still turn the graphical settings up

It makes a huge bottleneck. The A10 7870K is comparable to an 4-core FX like the 4100 or 4300.

I would not advise pairing such a low end CPU with anything stronger than an RX 550 or GT 1030, it simply can't prerender enough to allow the 570 to perform over 30 to 50 percent it can.

I've ran a very similar setup to that (Athlon X4 950 and RX 580) and, yeah, it's really not good because the CPU is, quite frankly, shite.

It will still get over 30fps in modern games, and it lets your crank up the graphical settings

RX 470s/580s are so cheap it doesn't make any sense to get any other GPU. It's like 4 times faster than a GT 1030 or something like that

It being 4 times the 1030 doesn't mean a thing when he'll get one fourth of the performance. He would just pay more and draw more power.

You can still run games at high/ultra settings or at 1080p where the GT 1030 will fail.

 

The CPU only limits what the maximum fps he'll see is, but you can still crank up the resolution or other GPU only settings.

 

and it's only going to draw as much power as it needs.

 

Hell he can DSR a lot of older games to 4k on the rX 470-580, since it would only normally get 30fps in those games anyways.

Should probably still wait for Dec 12th to see the RX 5500 anyways.

I only get 40 fps between 60 and 60 at low settings with this processor but of course it gets too much

You already own the 570, right?

Those 40 to 60 are probably the max you can get with that processor.

 

The 570 can average about 80 fps on 1080p medium settings in APEX.

I can't find the info on how manyy fps it would average on low, but an educated guess would be 100-120 fps.

With 7870k, do you say that the 100 gets 100 120 fps?

No, I'm talking about using the 570 with a CPU that can feed it properly, a CPU that doesn't bottleneck a card like that.

 

Are you using the integrated GPU from the APU A10 7870K and receivening 40-60 fps with it?

The CPU part of the APU A10 7870K is too weak for the RX 570, you'd be throwing money.

I would say about the same. Maybe a few more, but the drops would stay.
