Default Font in Browsers

I was downloading fonts some time ago, and i dont know what happened, i must've clicked something, but it has changed my default font on certain sites, but only in the browser, not in windows.

I found the font which was the problem, and i deleted it, which changed the font, to another font, which also doesn't work very well, because it's slim. I can't find that font, therefore i can't delete it. Does anyone know how to resolve the problem?  I have tried to create a .reg file but that didnt seem to work.

fonts are defined in the browser's options...

for firefox type about:config in url box  then type font ... or tools > options

on my pc on firefox  it's  serif, times new roman, arial , courier new

defaults in Chrome are similar : settings > appearance > customize fonts ... times new roman, times new roman, arial, Consolas (instead of courier new)

I've done that already in chrome, which has no effect on the sites.  It is also changed in edge which i  haven't even opened op the settings in.

This fonts settings in browser works only when website has not defined any font. Very rare situation (really old websites).
