Hi YOU lot. 

 

I'm trying to figure out how people get such nice pictures of their PC's?

 

Are there some secrets I'm not familiar with? Or do you just have to be good at photography..

 

Google isn't being much help but any help here would be great,

Mostly general photography skills, but there are various tips and tricks as well (which unfortunately I have forgotten)

I wouldn't know. All of mine come out like crap.

 

Though on a serious note, for me it's almost always about light. Especially when you consider what you're using for the photo. I don't find that phone cameras do a good job when it comes to photographing inanimate objects unless there is a lot of light. Same even for regular cameras. If I am shooting with my phone, the room is well lit. I try to wait for day light. When I use my dSLR, I bounce a speedlite off of either the wall or the ceiling depending on what angle I need to diffuse the light. I also try to avoid red or blue LEDs as they are a nightmare to photograph. My 2700X build was less than run getting the red right.

 

Something I see happen a lot when people use their phone for pics of RGB builds is not manually settings things. This causes the LEDs to blow out completely and the image looks awful. That said, I'm terrible at giving advice.

The biggest thing is your lighting. If you have large windows around your setup, open them and take your pictures during the day. 

Also if you have a ton of RGB, turn the brightness down. You don't want your PC to be brighter than the ambient light in the room, otherwise it'll either come out dark or blurry.
