Tomahawk Max starts up but doesnt boot

My new Tomhawk max that i paired with the amd ryzen 3700x doesnt boot anymore.

I turnes up xmp 3200mhz for my 3200mhz kit and has not booted since.

My fans are spinning, rgb is working, but my keyboard and powr button don't light up anymore.

How can i fix this?

Did you update the bios to support 3000 serires CPUs or just plug it in and start tweaking settings?

Turn back the xmp profile and see if it boots ?

Also make sure you have the latest bios

Let's agree to disagree

Have you cleared BIOS/CMOS using the jumper on the board? (or dedicated button on some boards)

Would a jumper be included with the motherboard?

You might want to try to look for a bios update. As your CPU is pretty new, it may require bios updates to support the cpu

System

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

Case: Phanteks eclipse P400A

Motherboard: MSI B550 Gaming Carbon WiFi

GPU: MSI RTX 3060 TI Gaming X Trio

RAM: 16GB XPG D60G CL16 3200MHZ

PSU: Sharkoon SilentStorm Cool Zero 650W

Storage: Crucial P2 1TB

Page 37 of your manual. If you don't have the cap that came with the board, a flathead screwdriver also works

Thanks!! It worked!

But my RAM was rated for 3200 mhz, so i should be able to run it at that speed right?

I assume the xmp profile was too blame, but i dont understand why

Sounds like you'll need to wait for a new BIOS update with a newer AGESA version for you board. Try lower frequencies in the meantime or another brand of RAM.

I'm having the same problem, I have the b450 tomahawk and ryzen 3700x. I dunno what to do other than wait or buy an x570. Sometimes I can boot my PC with 1 stick of ram in it and then shut down and put the other ram in but this is getting to be a headache. I'm gonna try to reflash my motherboard to the previous bios that supports ryzen 3000 and maybe that one will work better
