What are my 55”+ options for variable refresh rate (eg G-sync) displays, now and in the next 12 months?

Baryn

My current display is 8 years old and suffering from a ton of light bleed - it’s really getting ready to be replaced. I decided that VRR is important to me, but screw the HP Omen X Emperium 65 (paying $5000 for LCD is just a rip-off).

What’s out there right now, and what do we have to look forward to?

thanks guys

You get some freesync monitors and TVs.

Cool, who’s making them? TVs especially.

Found this list. Apparently Samsung is going all-out on FreeSync.

Yep its Samsung who is investing in that.

Keep in mind its most likely freesync over HDMI which needs an AMD card.

Even despite Nvidia’s announcement that they’re conceding to FreeSync support?

Nvidia has freesync over DP and not HDMI. They simply use the wrong revision of HDMI to make it work. Dokt know if you can use adapters to get around this.
