envy x360 vs IP530s

g'day everyone,

I have a choice between the HP ENVY X360 15 inch

i5 8250U

MX150 4GB 25W

18.9mm thickness

and the Lenovo IdeaPad 530s 15inch

i7 8550U

MX150 2GB 10W

17.7mm thickness

the price is roughly the same I just dont know which one to go for since they are both really nice machines.

I mainly need the laptop to game very light games on the go (like MC and UT4) and type and ESSAY every now or then.

thermal are an important factor to me but I am capable of some light throttling by repasting.

thanks

E.

germany, poland, amazon.de, x-kom.pl, around 800, whaight isnt important as long as its well built, battery isnt important since Ill be plugged in most of the time, 13<15 (15 thin bezel is important)

aslong as the laptop is reasonably thin <~1.8 and has a mx150 4gb or mx250 or a similar AMD card I dont mind

if there is anything else you need to know, ask

E.

hello everyone,

I have been looking for a laptop lately to use mainly for typing essays and a bit of Minecraft or Unreal Tournament 4.

As long as it has a 4 core CPU, a dedicated GPU I don't mind any laptop.

the weight is completely irrelevant as long as build quality is good.

Screen size can be 13-15inches but 15inches only if the bezels are small

battery life is irreverent because I will be plugged in most of the time

a thunderbolt port is a welcome addition

Upgradable ram and storage is welcome at all times

my budget is 800eur (around 3440pln)

I am buying from these websites:

amazon.de

x-kom.pl

ceneo.pl

komputronik.pl

thanks,

e.

on the cheaper end of the spectrum. a neat ultrabook.

are you looking for gaming laptops or ultrabooks. because vega 8 can do some light gaming no problem.

How is the build quality on it?

I am looking for a light gaming laptop in disguise.

thanks a lot for the suggestion

From everything ive gathered its pretty good.

You can also check out Matebook D with the r5 2500u or perhaps thinkpad E495.

Its not gaming per say, but they do game at an OK level. Below mx 150 that is to say.

Edit: hard to find a gaming laptop in disguise.

Would trust @GeneXiS_X more than me to find something.
