Upgraded the keyboard.

Changed it from Coolermaster SK630 to the Logitech G915TKL

However the only model available was the with the clicky switches, I always had and licked Cherry Red or linear switches. After some research I found that the difference between Clicky and Linear switches is a little clicky spring inside the Logitech (kailth) switch.

The Idea was to replace the switches all together to the linear ones. but that required a full disassembly of the keyboard and lots of soldering. So I dropped that Idea. I had to figure out how to disassemble every individual switch without removing them from the PCB.

There is a will there is a way!!!

So I figured out how to open a switch and removed all the clicky springs

Thus I have got a linear switch keyboard, I wanted to film the difference in sound but the mic on my old iphone is almost dead.

Another “upgrade”

I’ve got a “new” rad for my rig

it is not a performance improvement but more of the astetic one

EKWB XE 240 rad, got it second hand for a steal of the price, it looks old and used

but it will fit the aluminum theme

one hour of sanding down the remaining paint and it is done

need to sand it down a bit more to get same brushed aluminium look from all sides

Finally I had some time to change the rad from barrow to EKWB one

after changing the fluid to distilled water it looks like I need to change the tubes and give it a good clean.

After the rad was changed the rig became very unstable and could fall on its back (rad) very easily so a temperary solution was found

an old massive aluminium heatsink, the mounting bracket on it is some old amd type, i really could not find any other use for it)
