Modded Minecraft Help. 1.14 (Fabric)

Hey,

 

So - I am looking for people who have experience with Minecraft mods, particularly 1.14

 

The first question is what launcher to use. 

- I am currently using Twitch, due to its really easy to add mods, and such.

But I know of MultiMC (This is important for my next question)  Sadly I have no clue how to use this client.

So is Twitch fine to use?

The second Question is the main one, For people who know about 1.14

I see there are ALOT of mods for 1.14 using Fabric API, I'm pretty much looking for people who can explain this.. I can't tell if you can use Normal mods + Fabric mods idek.. 
Also, am not sure if you can use Fabric mods on the Default client 

 

~ Yes, I know I can play on older versions and have epic mods, But I like playing up to date. Due to I have not played original Minecraft in a while and there are a lot of new things Id like to try

no, I mean from scratch

20-30 to a existing modpack is ambitious, especially if it is a balanced one, but you do you

I don't make them from scratch wat. I just use curseforge mods.

i don't know modern minecraft modding but i mean if you just add mods to an existing balanced modpack you'll most likely break the experience the creator made and maybe some issues (conflicting ids, or a game breaking/crashing/world corrupting bug)

ymmv, both are fine for adding mods to whatever, i think i'm just confusing you more

I just use Twitch to search up mods to easily download and install mods. Twitch owns CurseForge, so any mod on Curse is in the Twitch launcher (for the most part, there's probably some exceptions). 

 

Personally, I'd stick with 1.12.2 since it has more mods than 1.14 (afaik), but its up to you.

That was the whole point of why I said " I Know 1.12 has more mods, BUT I like the new things in 1.14"

The Twitch launcher does not, at this time, support Fabric - it only supports modpacks based on Forge. MultiMC is a bit more complex (and versatile!), but the Fabric wiki should contain a guide on creating a Fabric instance. You might be able to find better assistance on the Fabric community spaces, say the Discord or the IRC.
