They would be a great target for this, and given how much information is duplicated online, I never visit those sites that demand whitelisting. It's simply asking for trouble.

The most I'd expect a bad agent to use this exploit for against the average user is to turn their computer into a botnet or a cryptominer. Stealing their data is better served by social engineering and phishing attempts.
