Hey guys,

 

I need somebodys help. I can't turn my laptop on. I have a HP ProBook 4530s. i was using it just last night but now when I came back home  from school today I culdn't turn it on. I was havig some problems with my power button. I had to push it in harder ( I know, I know that's what she said) I am desperate. I need it for a school project. I am on my dad's old Intel Celeron laptop. I need some help. Please help.

When i plugg in the battery there is a light. No sounds.Celeron is fun. It crashed 7 times trying to open the forum.

 

The switch might be dead.

Try removing the battery while it is plugged in and hold the power button for 20 seconds. If it turns on put the battery back in.

 

At least that's what I found after looking into those symptoms briefly. Are there any lights or sounds? Power light, fans, HDD, anything?  Sorry, you answered these as I was typing haha

What lights when you hit the power button? If there aren't any, then it seems like the power button might be gone.

I tried that also. I found it on YouTube :3. I will try leaving it in a warmer room and try again. It's a couple degrees colder in my room then in the rest of the house.

It has a small LED light that shows up when the battery is charging. (orange, and white)

As long as your room is warmer than 10 or so Celsius, I don't see a reason in doing that.

During the summer of 2013, my laptop (2009 Macbook) wouldn't turn on, and I brought it to a PC repair shop, they said that the button was dead, so they replaced it.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Have you tried turning off and on again (sorry I just had to)

 

 

 

Try taking out the battery make sure there isn't any dust by the connectors
