Need help with CaseFans

CaseFans: CoolerMaster MF120L RGB so it have a 3 pin fan connector and a 4 pin RGB... I want to ask if I just connect the 3 pin can I set the RGB using the RGB application? Or do I need to connect the RGB 4 pin?

The RGB 4-pin connector has to be connected to a compatible RGB connector on your motherboard to function.  A lot of motherboards still don't have this, which is why most of the RGB fans available still rely on a proprietary controller separate from the board.

IIRC 4 pin connector carry digital dignals, while 3 pin carry analogic signals so they are not compatible nor adaptable without a logic circuit board.

(It's the other way around I believe) but the overall statement is correct! 3 pin digital or "Addressable" RGB (5V) and "standard" 4 pin RGB (12V) cannot be interchanged

In the case of this fan though (based on Cooler Master's manual), the 3-pin connector is the fan motor power, and the 4-pin connector is the RGB power.

I was specifically referring to the difference between RGB headers; 4 pin RGB (which is an analog signal) and 3 Pin addressable RGB (which is a digital signal) I was completely ignoring 3 pin vs 4 pin fans headers for that explanation. But you are correct, the fans also have the 3 pin fan header for the actual power and speed control.
