I am going to build a pc for my father using an Intel Core i5-6600t. He currently has a pc with an AMD Athlon II x4 651k, gtx 680, 8gb ddr3 ram, and an ssd in a micro atx case. I would like to build this with relatively inexpensive parts, and I can reuse the power supply and RAM if I need to. Tell me what parts I should buy please. I'm asking about a cooler, fans, board, and anything else you can think of.

Light gaming, lots of office work. He owns a lot of games made between the 90s and 2015. (A few older AAA titles)

Well, what's the make and model of the PSU? Also it's hard to find a DDR3 motherboard for that 6th gen CPU, you'll likely need some DDR4 and an H110 motherboard.

Also, gotta ask, do you already have the 6600t or did you choose it for the upgrade specifically?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

A friend of mine gave the 6600t to me. I have a 600 watt power supply, and 1866 mhz DDR3 ram.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you right now what it is, but it had 80+ bronze certification and was bought in 2017.
