Creative Pebble vs Edifier R19U

Sorry for the poor array of speakers up for selection here, but which one would you guys recommend?

Also, I'm a bit concerned regarding the connections on these 2 speakers. Currently, I'm running an extension 3.5mm out of the back of my PC, where I plug in my earphones. If I were to plug in the speakers to the back of my computer instead, I would be losing the green (audio out) port. I would then have no place to plug in my earphones. This is a bummer, since the speakers don't offer the option of plugging in earphones straight to them. Any solutions / suggestions?

 

From what I've seen so far, it seems like the edifier one allows me to get audio from computer using usb only. This would be great since I can then plug in my phone when I want to as well, and listen music from there. And it also frees up the green port so I can continue using it for my earphones. Does creative allow this as well?

 

Sorry for so many questions, hope someone can help out here. Also, I would be willing to hear any other suggestions for speakers you guys might have. Thanks!
