MSI GS75 Stealth- 202 Upgradability.

Loch

Hello all. I plan on getting a MSI GS75 Stealth- 202 and wondering if I was able to upgrade the storage. Now, I read on their website that you can upgrade it, but will it void my warranty if I do. From what I know, opening a laptop up will generally void the warranty, but if they give us the option to upgrade it, will it void it? Thanks!

Depends on your region. Best course of action would be to ask a representative of company from your region.

That's probably a good idea.

Generally you can open a laptop without breaking any seals or similar, and given you live in the US those can't be legally enforced anyway. Just keep the old drive handy and swap it back in if you actually need warranty replacement. They won't check deep enough to notice.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I see. I was kind of worried that they would have seals.

They will. Really just depends on your region and the company as to what they consider acceptable.
