Well, I'm very partial to Dell. However, I'm ok with anything but Asus.

Why not ASUS?

I take first and of all ASUS!

You don't need to be hard with me, I love you the way you are XD.

Why is it even matter? Cause of the CPU watt consumption?

For me, ASUS, ACER and HP in no particular order. I had one Lenovo netbook and I had so many problems with it I don't want to ever see or use one again. Constant WiFi problems, then screen died as I had it in service for the problematic WiFi and when I got it back with new screen, HDD died. Never had such horrible experience with any device.

You get what you pay, netbook usually has many issues (that's why they are no where to be found nowadays)

I thought you want a gaming laptop? It's not just for gaming only, the powerful hardware can also be used for intensive workload (eg sketchup). Moreover, both models I picked meet your preference on weight and battery life

I've had ACER Aspire One (N270, 160GB version) and it worked for few years where I actually upgraded it's 160GB HDD to 80GB Intel SSD and later sold it. I also had HP X2 which worked great for few years until it had a mechanical failure on the screen which might have been my fault. Now I'm on same spec'd ASUS Transformer. That Lenovo was just crap. Luckily service was helpful enough that they replaced it with brand new one which I then sold for almost full price and then bought something else...
