footage too powerful for pc

So I have been using an ursa mini 4k for a wile now but up until this point I haven't really needed to use my own pc to edit the video and ive run in to a problem. my pc cant handle ursa mini 4k 3:1 raw its vary choppy when editing. Iv been trying to edit with davinci resolve but no mater what the footage is just too jumpy to even kinda edit. I'm not amazing with pcs I know a bit but not enough to be any ware near knowing what the issue is. I edit all my stuff  off an ssd. my software is not on an ssd though just the hdd that the OS is on. so do i need to re install davinci resolve on an ssd or do i need to upgrade my pc ( if so what parts)

I don't think anyone ever edits raw. You need to encode it into a usable format

open task manager, monitor the cpu and memory.

if you have 4k / 8k 120mbps footage its must be huge, so costing the memory more.

but if youre memory is not enough it will part the rest to ssd, then you start getting the choppiness.

If you have enough memory should not exceeded the Memory Usage.

I see. Well for one Davinci isn't known for having the smoothest timeline. I'd be inclined to say it's a hard drive bottleneck. I swapped to a 960 evo and I can pull upwards of 400Mb/s depending on what's being loaded.

860 is pretty fast, 970 is faster, but it should be enough.

if you have enough ram, you don't have to worry about ssd.

it seems installing davinci on my ssd has fixed the Issue.
