Found a phone but can't reset it

So I just found a nokia model ta-1032 on a public bathroomt, came home happy with a "new" phone, i hard reset it but when it's configuring itself it asks for the previous password or email etc, i already removed the SIM and everything.

If there is no fix ill probably just give it to the police lol

 

Also ive tried the talk back thing but on the options there is no "pause feedback " option

Uhh, Im just gonna be inclined to tell you to turn it in. You can actually get in trouble for keeping it so, best to be safe

Uh, if you re flash android on there, then you might be able to bypass that. Also, is it asking you for the google account password? If it is, then you can just put in yours, and that might let it work. Is it specifically asking for the old one, or just any old password, and what screen is it asking for this on?

Hi! I run a small mobile repair/resell business.

 

What you have encountered is called Google lock. I prevents phone theft. It usually can't be worked around on modern Android versions. It's most likely not worth the effort. If i were you I would just turn it in to the Police.

I have an Anet A8 as my project printer and a i3 MK3 for when I want things to work. 

 

I extrude my own filament and haven't saved a penny yet.

Dude you kind of stole a Nokia 3.

 

It's FRP locked, meaning it's hard locked to a Gmail account that was previously on the phone before you reset it.

 

You also left the owner with zero data.

I'd return the phone just to be a nice guy it's not worth the work you have to put into it.

In addition the phone's IMEI can be reported as stolen and then blacklisted.  Which turns it into a brick.

I'm pretty sure there's a reason why there's even an FRP lock in the first place. 

 

Just turn it in to the police or the relevant authorities.
