I am going for ryzen in my new system, strictly for gaming and is gonna be paired with a 2070. which ryzen cpu is best for gaming and is overclockable?

to note i currently have a 2600x on my list and its breaking my budget atm, looking for something a little better priced.

why are you going for ryzen if its just for gaming...get intel

Because unless he's doing something like 240hz 1080p gaming, difference can hardly be felt.

 

Also cheaper, better value and upgrade path

I totally agree with you, sometimes though its even less than that. Sometimes it only like a 5-10 fps difference.

what i have so far and my budget is around 1550, cant go any higher so im reeeally close but i need to lower something here.

cooler is something i want to keep as well as the case because i like the look and it has a hinged door.

Honestly if the Ryzen x 3x00 series's leaks are true then it is going to destroy Intel for how much they cost.
