[UPDATE] I checked that chip again, I am almost certain that it is a Texas Instruments HD3SS460 4 x 6 Channels USB Type-C™ Alternate Mode MUX, the official document is here: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/hd3ss460.pdf Does this "USB CHIP" envolve i2c touchscreen? [ORIGINAL CONTENT] hello guys! Sorry for my poor English first, I hope you can understand what I am talking about. I'm trying to modify my LG GRAM 15Z980, replace its non-touchscreen to a touchscreen which is from touchscreen edition of the same Z980 series. The screen panel can display normally, but the touch function doesn't work. I get an HID I2C error, code 10, in WINDOWS DEVICE MANAGER. I have tried all software method to fix it like installing fresh windows and update drivers, but they never work. Then I notice there are some differences on the PCB near the EDP video interface, I can see 2 different components on non-touchscreen edition PCB and touchscreen edition PCB. I'm not sure if these hardware difference cause the problem or not. I also guess maybe the hidden option in bios lock the touch function. There is no information online for LG GRAM, it's really not popular like macbook or thinkpad. I have uploaded pics in attachments. And bios file is here: https://mega.nz/#!UwJT2QQA!U7PWAU7KFiPds7db-41o8NzqhF4yQxNyiLMTr8unOis Can anybody help me fix the touchscreen problem? Thank you so much! touchscreen edition pcb: non-touchscreen edition pcb: non-touchscreen edition pcb back:

Greetings All, I'm currently building my own office and meeting room... Small area... During the deaign process I was wondering how I can make my TV touch compatible. I didn't buy a TV yet but it will something around 60" hooked up to an HTPC that would serve as an entertainment, meeting and 3D rendering support unit. During my search in the we, I've come across ChingYing inferred frames li k below. They don't seem to have any reliable reviews or videos on Youtube... I've seen similar products, PeauProduction but they don't sell them any more. Any one has any knowledge regarding this product. An LTT youtube review would be great? P. S. The office is going to be used by Architectects and Designers. Edit: Forgot the Link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D1ZFRYQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_BOINCb92XWRYR

I'm searching for a new laptop which I can use for programming. It should be able to handle also higher demanding stuff, as I would like to do things like game development and 3D modeling in the future. It would be great if you could play games on it at least decently and if it had some touch screen or stylus support so I can write on it in my studies. I looked around a lot for laptops fitting these criteria, but there are not that many I found. The only one which did everything I wanted was the Surface Book 2 with a GTX 1060. But some people seems to have issues with overheating and stuff. Does anyone here have a suggestion?

Hey, I'm currently just looking for a cheap, quick and easy way for having a tiny touch display connected to my Ubuntu virtual machine on Windows (the touch-display passthrough is no problem, I have already done it). I have already found many such displays, but they all need a raspberry pi connected to them, and I would need to passthrough the signal from and to the display trough the rp, what I really don't want to do if it's not necessary. So does anyone know a "standalone" touch display, wich works with Windows 10. Or could someone show me the holy grail of display passthroughs(some open source project which does what I need for this)? Passing through a display signal trough 2 separate operating systems seems not that optimal. My budget ist around 50-70€, AliExpress and Amazon would be okay, I already own a rp, but I would buy another one if needed. Btw my first post on this forum, please be nice Thx

Hi, I just completely dismantled my laptop, and rebuilt it. Upgrading the hard drive to ssd, repasting and cleaning. First time ever and I intend to post a few pictures and word of thanks to the LTT community and LTT staff for giving me the courage and knowledge to do so. Edit: Visual issue Solved!: However i have some software issues with my windows 8.1 refresh, most pressing of all is a visual bug in the apps/program tray. There is a very ennoying double visual of the apps/programs of which only one is functional. I went to grand master google, but ended up not finding anything for 2 hours. Any help would be nice. (also have an issue with multitouch which i think is in pen and touch setting (which i can't find), but that i'll tackle a bit later) I uploaded a photo of the issue, screenshots come out normal, one also uploaded. The apps/programs can still be selected and opened on one of the visuals. I've already searched for the drivers. This is the setup i have: The issue with the touch sensor not registering multitouch and gestures remains, and the settings seem to not be found anywhere... I am looking for a 2 in 1 laptop that can handle basic to medium gaming, not looking to run Dark Souls 3 on Ultra or any AAA FPS. I would like to use it with a pen for basic Photoshop and sprite design, as well as run simple games off it like rocket league, maybe league of legends or pubg/fortnite. Front runner is currently the XPS 15 2 in 1 base model (which is very different from the XPS 15 not 2 in 1). Any thoughts or suggestions? I haven't owned a laptop since 2012 as they are freaking expensive and I built a fairly beefy desktop for only $1,100. My budget should be $1000 as I'm a pastor and we don't get paid that much haha, but I could go as much as $1,400 if I wait longer. Thanks, Keeners

Hello everyone, I'll start university in a couple of months, and I'd really like to use something digital instead of a paper notebook. I considered many alternatives, but all of them left me kinda unsatisfied. They are, with each's drawback: 1. 2018 iPad 6 with pencil (feels like I'm buying an iPad air) 2. Either wait for the new iPad Pro or buy the 2nd gen, still with the pencil (it's quite expensive, and I know I probably don't need it) 3. Buy a 2 in 1 (I'd have liked it to have Ryzen, but isn't the battery life worse than Intel? How much? Also, a 13" screen (or even 15") as a piece of paper... Is it doable?) 4. Buy a windows/android tablet (android tablets feel like a bigger phone, so a duplicate, and windows tablets are either too expensive (surface book) or don't have a good CPU (eve v, surface go)) So, since the community has more experience, what do you say on this? Thank you for your time, EMENCII

Are 2-in-1 pc's reliable tech now ? What i mean is that are they still something new and experimental or have they become a new piece of norm tech that has more versatility and stablility compared to a more traditional clamshell laptop ? Are the life time ( wear and tear ) of these hybrids long enough that they can get through 4 years of college time ? As i am deciding to buy a laptop i am in this dilema whether to buy a 2-in-1 or a clamshell ?

Do you guys know of any desktop environments or programs that have great touch support? If you know of a desktop environment, does it look modern like Plasma or Deepin? I really like Arch Linux and I want to use touch with it but Deepin doesn't really recognize touch and KDE's implementation sucks. If there is none then that's alright I guess.

The title says it all: Thunderbolt 2 Capacitive-Touch Monitor - Does it exist?! I have a set up where I would really benefit from a touchscreen monitor with peripheral plugs (USB for flash drive, headphones, special tools, etc). The best value touchscreen I've found is the Planer PCT2235, but to have a thunderbolt dock is inconvenient because this monitor is on a multi-axis wall mount. Cost is not an issue and color accuracy is not a priority, but it must be capacitive, <60Hz refresh rate, preferably have a low latency rate, and above all else... the monitor MUST be Thunderbolt 2 compatible to accommodate directly plugged peripherals. If it Thunderbolt 3, but a 3 to 2 adapter accompanies the find, that is also acceptable. I'm exhausted from research. Thank you for your help!

Hi guys. I'm gonna be a college freshman next year. And I want a laptop that I specifically CAN'T game very well on, but I still want to be able to stream movies on it. I have some very specific requirements that I can't seem to find!! -must have USB 3.1 type C port with thunderbolt -must have a TOUCH 1080p display, but not a higher resolution! Any more resolution than that will only cause scaling issues and drain battery life. I've been looking for something that meets these requirements for a little while, but I've been unable to find anything. Any help would be appreciated. Edit: Forgot to mention my budget is around 1800 USD.

Was just thinking today about how much I prefer this: to this: I've tried touchpads on MacBooks and various high-end laptops but none seem to even compare in my mind to the good ol' pointing stick. Seriously, I love pointing sticks. Curious, does anyone else share this opinion?

Howdy, so about a year ago my Aino's screen and speakers stoped working, by this I mean that if people were to call me I could pick up the phone but I wouldn't know who was calling since the screen was 100% dead, and neither would I hear them, however they could hear me and the keyboard still lights up. Then I tried to get it fixed but the store where I left it said it was impossible to fix the band, however now that I got tired of waiting and went to pick it up I looked around a bit and saw that if instead of changing the band I change the whole screen for 10bucks I should get my phone working again. Would anyone in here be able to help me out in wether I should try this or not etc...?

I have a ThinkPad X230 Tablet with Windows 8.1 and its works pretty good except for the touch screen keyboard. If I touch the screen repeatedly its shows the ripple thingy for touch in Windows 8 exactly where my finger is, but when I try to use the touch keyboard and do the same thing (Try to hit one spot repeatedly, a key in this case) it will randomly decide to click the key next to it. So the touch is glitchy/not accurate on the onscreen keyboard.

I have a Surface Pro 2 as my mobile computer along side my desktop. I like it very much, it does what I need it to do and has the features I want/need. Don't judge, please! Anyway, I have been running Windows 10 since the preview and enjoy it very much. However, one thing has been a problem since the preview that I thought would be addressed in the final release but has not been. I want to be able to disable the Touch Keyboard in Windows 10 so that it wont pop up when I tap something on the screen every damn time. I have the Type Cover installed most of the time and do not understand why the Touch Keyboard would come up with a hardware keyboard installed. I have searched and searched and have not found what I am looking for. I would prefer to not disable the Touch Keyboard entirely as I have select cases where I use the Touch Keyboard when I have the Type Cover removed or folded back (which is essentially removed on the Surface). I have seen many guides on how to disable it completely but I would prefer not to do that. Essentially what i want is or the Touch Keyboard to never show its stupid face when I have a hardware keyboard installed into my computer and only appear when there is no other typing device found. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Hello, so yesterday my USB SoundCard arrived which was only 1$. I know, I shouldn't expect something great for that price but the thing is it works perfectly fine but only when I touch the USB plug when the SoundCard is plugged in. I can touch it with my finger or a coin but the thing is, when I plug in the sound card it creates a whole lot of noise for my microphone, but when I touch the metal on the USB plug i assume some kind of electricity goes through my body and then my microphone doesn't make any noise whatsoever. I tried leaving the coin on that plug, but I guess it needs some kind of electricity circulation or something like that. I am also using a usb extender, so my coundcard is pretty far from my computer. Also when i put it near the ground it starts to pick even more noise from somewhere. I am not familiar with physics and electricity, so I would really appreciate if you could help me fix that bancground noise. I know its all ok with my microphone, I just need to figure out why do I need to touch the USB plug and how to fix that.

Hey guys, Since I got my blade 2nd hand, its got a few areas around the corners where the silver of the aluminium is showing. What would be the best way to touch it up? A black sharpie is what I'm thinking, but I'm not sure how close to the black it would be...
