I am not having a good time with customer support over at EA Help/Contact EA I have plenty of emails (+100) saying there has been a sign in from WEB in a spand of 6, 7 months... If somebody has someone at EA/Origin I would greatly appreciate the help because this just bums me out... Name on ORIGIN EddyOSK

Hello all, So I just freshly installed my pc and added a 1 TB SSD to my system. Now I want to install all my games on that 1 TB SSD D drive, but the question is where do I install the game launchers like Steam and Origin? Should I put those on the C drive and create a path to the 1 TB SSD D drive to install the games there or install the launchers as well on the 1 TB SSD D drive? Would one of the options have any benefit or does it not matter? Greetings, Relph

I'm struggling with the decision on whether or not to get Sims 4. What better way to help with indecisiveness than crowd-sourcing and individual input? If you have anything you'd like to mention, recommend, or warn me about or what not, please let me know in the comments.

So i've decided to download Battlefield 4 and my origin download speed isn't going any higher than 7.60mb/s however in task manager it says that its getting 62mb/s is there any way to make the download speed higher in Origin or its like a locked limit?

So I have FIFA 14 on Origin and I want to give it to a friend.I'm positive there's a way, intentionally or not Is it possible that it would just work if he tried the key? I have sort of done this before, the game was first on an account I had lost and by contacting Origin Support they just placed the game on my current account

In case you weren't aware, which I'm guessing you weren't, Titanfall 2 (by far my favorite FPS game - hence my PFP) is on sale for $5 on Origin right now, as opposed to the normal $20 price tag. It's already totally worth the money at full price, but for $5 it's an absolute steal. You can pick it up on origin here, or get a redeemable code off of Amazon for the same price. It's definitely worth checking out if you haven't had the chance. The timing of the game's release was a bit unfortunate, with it mostly flying under the radar due to it being released at the same time as Battlefield 1. However, even 4 years after release, the game still has a very dedicated fanbase, and you can typically queue into a match in less than 30 seconds. The gameplay is fast and exhilarating, and even when you lose it's still very fun. The community is very nice, and I've never come across a single toxic player in a game. In addition to extremely fun multiplayer modes, the game has an amazing (albeit a bit short) campaign. I would actually recommend playing through the campaign in its entirety before even touching the multiplayer side of things. It will help you get used to the different gameplay mechanics. If you ignore this and decide not to get the game while it's on sale, then whatever. I tried my best. But if you're the least bit interested, or are wanting a new, fun FPS experience, give the game a shot. It's only $5. After all, who doesn't like wallrunning and piloting giant mech robots. I'll see you in a match sometime soon hopefully!

Please read carefully, my English is all over the place I wanted to play BF5 open beta, but when I tried to open Origin, it gave me this error. Later when I tried to open Uplay to play The Crew 2, it gave me this (basically the same) error: I was able to open Origin and download (and open) BF5 2 days ago and I haven't deleted anything or had any system crashes/ hard shut downs.

Source: https://gamerant.com/ea-origin-free-game/ Source: https://www.pcgamer.com/origins-free-game-program-on-the-house-has-been-retired/ Source: https://www.origin.com/aus/en-us/store/origin-access EA Game's platform Origin will no longer be giving away free games as part of its "On The House" program. Up until now the program saw Origin users able to claim free copies of games from the service. Every few months EA would offer up one of their games for free on the Origin platform where for a limited time users could claim a copy of the game and keep it forever, for free. Games in the past included titles such as Dead Space, Dragons Age: Origins, and Battlefield 3. The "On The House" program appears to have been replaced with a subscription service called "EA Access" where users can subscribe monthly to access over 100 titles of games. Prices are listed as USD $6.99/month or USD $39.99/year. (Those were AUD Prices). USD is $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year. It's a shame to see the free On The House program go, but to be perfectly honest I never really bothered with it that much. I picked up a few of the major titles such as Battlefield 3 and Dead Space (even though I already owned it on disc, though the digital copy was nice). Mostly though I don't bother with Origin so more often than not it would be many months between logging in to my origin account and I often missed a lot of the free games. The new EA Access subscription service does feature some quality games, with franchises such as Crysis, Mass Effect, Need For Speed, The Sims, SimCity, FIFA, Titanfall, Battlefield, Prison Architect, Batman, Medal of Honor, and more. Currently there are 113 games available through the access program, and you can view the full list at this link: https://www.origin.com/aus/en-us/store/origin-access/vault-games There are two subscriptions available, "Basic" and "Premier". "Basic" subscriptions costs $4.99/month or $29.99/year. It provides up to 10 hours of play time on pre-release games, and unlimited access to the currently 113 released games in the "Vault", as well as a 10% discount on purchasing games from the Origin store. "Premier" subscription costs $14.99/month or $99.99/year. It provides unlimited hours of play time on pre-release games, and unlimited access to the 113 games in the "Vault", as well as a 10% discount. So in other words both the basic and premier subscribers are going to be paying to be beta testers. The only difference between the two plans is that the far more expensive Premier plan gives unlimited pre-release game play instead of 10 hours. However, since they only offer access to pre-release games for 5 days before their official release date, for most people 10 hours of gameplay within 5 days will be enough. If a person likes a game so much that they want to continue playing more than 10 hours of it in the first few days, they should probably just buy the game or even pay for a single month of premier in order to get unlimited access to it. I think EA really needs to change the way the plans are offered, as at the moment I can't see any logical reason why anyone would want to purchase the Premier subscription that costs $90/year extra that only gives you a few days of maybe extra play time on what is most likely a buggy pre-release game. It would make more sense if there were one group of perhaps older, less popular titles that were available on the basic package, and the more expensive package gave you access to more AAA titles such as the latest FIFA or Battlefield games. Even removing the 10% discount from the basic tier as well. Something that gives actual incentive to subscribe to the higher tier package. What are everyone's thoughts on this? Will anyone miss the On The House free games? Would you subscribe to Origin Access to access a fairly sizeable library of games? Would you pay extra for the Premier subscription package, and if so, why?

Hello System Specs: Intel i7-3770k 3,40 Ghz, 4 cores, 8 logical processors (?) BIOS Version: 5/28/2012 Motherboard: ASUSTeK: Model: P8H77-M LE GPU: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 970 - 4GB Memory: 16GB - DDR3 - Dual Slot Depends how I run it, but let's take the usual: When game is being run in 1080p full screen, then the games crash while running Dxtory (Recording Software that I favor over any other), game does not crash like so when the recording software does not crash, and it does not crash during the modes of Windowed 720p or full screen 720p - this has been happening with BF4 and FIFA 18 thus far, I don't know any other game at the moment, none of the steam games do this, only game that the program doesn't record is The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ (Technically its Rebirth)

I recently did a fresh install of Windows 10 because I had some virus problems and my drives had a lot of unused files so I decided to save my important data on a usb stick and do a clean install. So everything was working fine until I downloaded Origin and FIFA 17, plus DS4Windows because I've been using that program to play games with my DualShock 4. Everytime I try to start FIFA either through Origin or run the .exe file directly, it just doesn't work. The Origin window disappears like it should when you start a game, but the FIFA launcher doesn't appear and after a few seconds the Origin window reappears like when you close a game. Same thing with the DS4Windows.exe file. When I try to run it, the blue loading circle appears next to my cursor for a few seconds but then nothing happens. Bear in mind, I can run other .exe files like Firefox, Steam, Origin without any problems, it's just these that don't work. I haven't tried downloading/running any other games since the fresh install, but I might give them a try. Oh and I have already tried running them both as administrator and also in several compatibility modes, but it didn't work.

Hey guys So i have a really slow internet connection, but my friend doesn't. Do i usually download games onto an external harddisk and later at home install them on steam. That way i avoid downloading them! Battlefield 1, star wars battlefront and other large origin games are downloaded, and i used to be able to "discover allready installed games". Now it wont recognize them anymore, and starts downloading the game from scratch... I did change the install directory to where the game was moved from my harddisk, still same. Usually, i just move the game into origins install folder and press "download". Origin discovers installed files, and voila! Now it just starts downloading from scratch and ignores my game files. Yes, the folder names are the same as the folders origin creates Yes, same install directiry Yes, all files are completely downloaded Yes, this method used to work Any ideas on what to do? Without this method, i would be downloading till 2020 presidential election...

I've spent the last 3 hours trying to figure out why AWO won't launch. I've never played it before, and whenever I try to launch the game, Origin says I'm in the game, but it won't launch. I've tried Clean Booting my PC I've tried repairing game files I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game I've tried running both origin and the game as admin I've updated drivers Nothing has changed Any fixes?

I tried to install battlefield 4 and its dlcs today, but it seems like at the stade of finishing, (so when it’s after 100%) it says error 327684:1, with something about directx. I installed battlefield 1 a few minutes before, and everything was fine. Could someone please help? I have other games in queue and it doesn't work with them either, but I really don’t want to loose hundreds of dollars. Edit : Tried running it as an administrator and reinstalled it, doesn't work

So when I download games from steam and origin, the speed is about 8mb/s and I find that quite slow. Is it normal? The whole story started when I saw someone on the NotebookReview forums selling a Clevo W110ER. They were asking for like, $400 but I was confident I could get it for $300 due to the length of time it had been listed on the site. So I message the guy but he's taking DAYS to respond. My curiosity gets the best of me and I find myself googling reviews at work. Then I start looking for them on Ebay, no results. After searching for a bit I found this machine was rebranded by Origin, Sager, Eurocom, XMG, and Maingear. Back when it was released in 2012 it was very popular, as this was right after the end of the netbook era, and the demise of the reigning netbook champ, the Alienware M11X. This still might very well be one of the most powerful laptops you can get in an 11.6in form factor, especially at higher end specs (i7 3820QM). After searching Ebay for all the other rebrands of this machine, I found someone selling the Origin Eon 11s, and holy shit did they have it for a good deal. This thing is maxed out with an i7 3820QM, 16GB of RAM, and a 120GB SSD, basically what I was thinking I would end up having to upgrade any other model to. The one downfall of this machine however has to be the rather limiting GT 650M, and it's unfortunately the DDR3 model. I can't see why they would choose this other than to keep the initial MSRP under $1200. I wish I could see this GPU fully stretch it's legs with the GDDR5, but that's a thread for another time. I pulled it out of the box when I got home from work today and was greeted by this: Little bit dirty, and the hinge on the right side is pretty loose, but all things I plan to fix. It comes with Windows 7 but I'm not sure if it's going to stay that way. I'll probably check out Windows 10 on it in a few days, but I keep getting the feeling that this is going to be a little linux beast. Just need to be sure the driver support it there. Keys are a little worn but they don't feel bad. A lot of review list this keyboard as hard to get used to, and I can understand that but I don't fully agree. Maybe it's just because I use a small wireless bluetooth keyboard at work, but I found the key spacing to be pretty normal. The only odd thing was the key size, they are quite short, but they feel average in width, they also have some nice deep travel. With a screen resolution of only 1366x768 it's nothing to write home about, but honestly at this screen size it seems just right. This model has the glossy screen, which I would normally be bummed about, but seeing as how it's already not that bright, I think the glossy panel is the right way to go. I haven't verified but judging by the poor viewing angles I'd assume this is also a TN panel. Again, something that seems disapointing now, but I think IPS displays were much less common in 2012, so I'm sure it was a concession many people were willing to make to keep the price down. Trackpad is terrible, just plug a mouse in. It's not that it tracks poorly, but the tracking surface feels like the a table in a mall food court. Inital thermals were reallllllllllly bad. I'm talking thermal throttling withing 1 and 1/2 minutes, and fan noise that would make my Blade 14 cover it's ears. This was under full synthetic load on the CPU and GPU in AIDA64, so it's admittedly an unrealistic load. Here is a picture of what I was seeing: As you can see, I only ran it for just under 4 minutes, the CPU hit 98C, and the GPU already throttled itself back at 81C. I was pretty sure at this point that it must still have the stock paste so it seemed like a natural first order of business to remove it. The stock paste was hardened to a clay like substance, and I'm fairly sure the heatsink wasn't even making very good contact with the CPU anymore, as you can see some exposed die where there must have been no contact with the copper heatsink anymore. Also it was pretty dusty. Some canned air and 99% alcohol took care of the dust and stock thermal paste quickly. Reapplied some Arctic Silver 5 and screwed everything back in. Booted the machine backup and saw an immediate improvement. Idle temps were now at 43C, where they had been at 60C before. Fired AIDA64 back up to see some results. As you can see I ran the test for much longer this time. No throttling at all, although the CPU still got pretty toasting capping out at around 91C. However the GPU maxed at 71C so a huge improvement there. I've only had the machine for a few hours and I'm already flush with ideas of how I can push this little device. However I think I'll try repairing the hinge first, and ordering a new battery as this one is currently at 48% wear. Initial Verdict: Yeah pretty good. I'm happy with it so far, and at only $400 it seems like quite the steal. I'll try to post a part two where I include some gaming benchmarks or test to see how well it holds up to today. Mainly I'm just hoping it runs League of Legends and Borderlands 2 well. Thanks for reading!

I bought one of Origin PC's custom builds for $3,100 but when it arrived (a week late) it came with damage to the paint to the top panel of the case and inside the fan grille. With the premium price tag (which was around $1,000 overpriced) I decided to return the PC. I made sure to email Origin tech team about the damage to the paint during shipping and the return. They responded. A few weeks later Origin PC refunded me $2,400 (the price I spent on the build was $3,100). That's a loss of $700 down the drain ??. Keep in mind this all happened during the 30 day money back guarantee. I'm building my own PC now but my budget is much lower due to those money hungry people. Give me your thoughts on this. Do you think there is there anything I can do? I have emailed them about the refund amount but they keep giving me BS about the paint. I even took pictures when it arrived to prove that it wasn't me. Some areas weren't even painted red (inside the grille for fans there were white patches) so that was the paint teams fault and would not be possible for me to do. In conclusion, I have decided to tell people about my experience so that they don't fall into the same trap I did. Build your own PC guys...
