Fuck me, why did I click on this thread.. Same issue, it drove me nuts going outside to check if a truck is passing by or wtf. At some point I must have completely forgotten(my brain probably learned to filter/ignore it) about it because it's been like 2 years since I've noticed it.. until I read your post 😑 I've never considered checking it with a doctor since I've never had any hearing issues. If you get diagnosed please leave a reply because I'm curious what could be the cause.

Its very subtle, but it has a vibrating feel to it, around 30hz or even less. It's as if someone was trying to park a van or something, and revs up and down the motor, but really far, like you live on a building on top, and some guy is trying to park this car. Like I said it's mega subtle, but I can "feel it". It doesn't help that with this coronavirus thing all the kids are inside making noises, and neighbours play music. Sometimes it's just that.

Ive tried to register on that tinnitustalk forum but those guys refuse to give me the confirmation email for some reason so im asking here. Has anyone had this bullshit before?

I've had high pitched tinnitus on my left ear for years now, got used to it. Most likely a sound card that failed while wearing headphones and emited a crazy loud sound did it, but this one is new. I use headphones at decently low level. Everytime I have something I look on the internet I just feel worse due everything always being possibly "you are about to die" tier so I just stop reading.

When I try to scratch out wax out of it (the right ear typically is the one i've had massive chunks of wax in the past coming out) a louder rumble starts happening.. so maybe it is eardrum localised and not some shit like brain aneurysm. Possibly ear infection? i use earbuds most of the day (not the ones that you insert inside, just regular ones).

I would rather not to go covid infected hospitals right now if possible, and most likely I will be told "that's tinnitus, nothing to do" assuming they don't see anything on the eardrum.

So yeah, has anyone had this? did it last forever basically? or it came and went?

A fan with duct aiming at the nozzle should help after first few layers are done without the fan on (allows the first few starting layers to bond well and stick to the bed).  Would be interesting to see what a basic fan mod with duct add-on could do.  Though, at that point, probably best to just nab something like an Ender 3 during a sale.

No one really cares for semantics, Linux is the colloquial name for an operating system based on the Linux kernel.  If you try to force people to start being specifically correct in such language you will only cause confusion,  most language evolves to communicate a complete idea rather than a specific (that is why scientific papers are so often criticized in amusingly ironic ways).

Just found about this drama. Though Lew has done some shady shit in his past in regards to his channel(like that fake "truck full of iPhones" giveaway)I don't think he is in the wrong here. I don't see how you can copyright a phone case given that it has to follow the shape of the phone it's supposed to be used on. If you're making a thin slim case for a certain phone you don't have much of a choice when it comes to the design(shape). PITAKA didn't invent carbon fiber/kevlar/whateverthefuckitsmadefrom or making products out of it, the material and texture aren't unique either. The design language of that case and it's functionality is just way too generic for it to be copyrighted. Now how both parties chose to handle the whole situation is a different story but I don't really care about that so I'm not going to comment on it. With that said, personally I find both cases to be overpriced for what they are so if it were me, I'd just buy one off alliexpress for like $5

Something I didn't see anyone commenting on, is how this truck is a massive coffin. Take in mind the following - retractable door handles with electronic locks(already proven unreliable on the model s), body made of bulletproof 3mm thick steel panels, armored glass, massive lithium ion battery. Now imagine you're driving all that and you get involved in a nasty crash, how the fuck are you supposed to escape that? Electronics are messed up resulting in seized doors, you can't brake the glass because it's armored, even if you manage to crack it with those tools for breaking windows, it's "sandwich" laminated(any sort of armored/bulletproof glass is) on the inside so you can't break it off.. but hey, EMT arrives.. and they can't do shit - flushed door handles whos electronics have failed and didn't popped up, armored glass, don't have the tools to cut the body because it's designed for normal cars made from 0.8mm easily to cut through soft metal but the cybertruck is made from 3mm thick steel panels. Did I mentioned all of this is sitting on a massive battery that is very likely to catch fire the moment you crash?

It baffles me how unsafe the truck seems and what's even the point of all this? It's cool that the body is very touch and can withstand abuse but is it worth it? Exoskeleton, really? When it's shown with the doors open you can see that it's just an unibody with flat panels attached on it instead of curved ones. And what's with the trend on new cars(tesla are not the first one to make the side windows tougher) to make the side windows laminated(like the windshield), I'd rather get some scratches from the tiny glass pieces from the broken window during a crash than not being able to escape instead. Also the already mentioned everywhere bed that can't be loaded from the sides(also lacking bed liner and hook attachments for tying stuff), no side mirrors, no hitch for trailers(though it's show to tow one in one of the renders), questionable visibility due to the way the massive A-pillar is positioned on the front and a bunch of other things.

With that said, I like the idea of tesla releasing something that radical(I love the cyberpunk/80's futurism inspired aesthetic), but at this point it looks very poorly thought out. It makes a nice technical for isis though

Your simultaneous lack of knowledge about auto construction and history combined with your knowledge of the terminology is fascinating.

Allow me to fill in some gaps.

This is a rather famous problem for all vehicles with electronic locks.  The standard scenario is them going off a bridge into the water and having the electronics in the doors short.  People have died this way.  Iirc there are safeguards in place for that already.  It’s also a problem for vehicles with “lambo” doors because of a vehicle is flipped over the doors can’t open.  This also applies to full wing doors which the tesla X has.  The solution for full wing doors is to provide what is effectively a manual “door ejector” that allows an occupant to remove the door entirely from its hinges.  Doesn’t solve the “jaws of life” problem you describe.  I doubt there is one there though.  Those things can clip right through an entire  A pillar which is like 6 layers of automotive steel and several inches thick.  It should probably be tested.  It possibly already has.

3mm stainless steel is insane.  That’s thicker than 12 gauge.  The whole car can’t be made of that.  It would be too heavy.  12 gauge stainless can’t even be manipulated really.  It’s plate more than it is steel.  Something is very wrong with that number.  Not sure what or where that problem originated.

All {windshield} auto glass is laminated and has been for a very long time.  The lamination is stretchy though.  There’s a long history of determine what and how thick the material should be.  There were various problems.  Necklacing was one.  Auto glass construction is very heavily regulated.

Progressor got a reaction from GNU/Linus in Stop Charging your Phone Overnight!
I disagree with this video. As others have already mentioned your phone/battery doesn't allow being charged/discharged at maximum, even if your phone says 100% it's not really at 100%(same with 0%), this whole charge until 80%/below 20% is unnecessary. I have a ~5 years old Chinese noname smartphone that I'm still using, I charge it at full and leave it over night, my battery lasts just the same as the day I bought it. You know what's my secret? Shitty Chinese charger that only outputs 500mA(wouldn't be surprised if it's actually even less). For comparison my brother at the time bought Galaxy S2 whos battery he changed 2 times. The difference? His Samsung charger output is 1200mA. The higher the amperage the faster the battery charges but also the more it ruins the battery. So the solution? Since you're going to leave your phone charge over night(it's the most convenient time) it doesn't matter if your phone is going to charge for 2 or 8 hours, just pick up a weak charger and let it be. I'm starting to believe this is some king of conspiracy of phone manufacturers to include high output chargers so it can ruin your battery faster and encourage you to get a new phone.

EDIT: I just completely drained my battery(3.7v) to the point of my phone turning off, my multimeter says it's at 3.48 volts which should be fine considering the minimum allowed is 3. I'm going to fully charge it, measure it again and edit.
EDIT2: Fully charged it's 4.10, which should be fine again considering it should go above 4.20

This actually makes your internet slower due to the fact that CloudFlare doesn't send your actual IP back to the DNS servers, which causes CDNs to route incorrectly. Someone ran a bunch of tests to illustrate this https://www.sajalkayan.com/post/cloudflare-1dot1dot1dot1.html

I assume the one set in windows since otherwise there wouldn't be a difference when trying different ones?

Progressor got a reaction from James in Double your RAM – This Method Actually Works!
Solid advice at the end of the video, ram very rarely fails so don't shy away from second hand ram, just make sure it's compatible with your system and the already installed ram.
One thing I don't agree with though, if you have enough ram, I would not let the virtual memory settings on auto. Virtual memory is so damn slow, with how windows manages it(it keeps the usage split at about 50%ram/50%virtual memory instead of only using the virtual after the normal ram is full), it makes your PC feel incredibly slow and laggy. I found completely disabling your virtual memory/swap/page file/whatever is called.. vastly improves the OS responsiveness. So If you find your system feeling sluggish and have 8GB or more ram I'd highly recommend you set "no paging file" for all drives. Some people claim that some software requires a paging file but I've never had any issues with that. I don't know if there is going to be as much performance improvement for disabling it if you have an SSD but I'd still disable it, no paging file on SSD means much less write cycles on your SSD, which should make it last longer.

What pisses me off is that youtube isn't even entertaining the idea of going to gun/hunting/enthusiast businesses to reach out for targeted advertising when they claim advertisers are shy about ads on those channels. Remingtion/Federal/anyone would LOVE to have targeted advertising to the degree youtube offers and would pay DEARLY for it.

Also, things that are legal to own and use in the united states:
    Machineguns
    Silencers
    Shortbarreled rifles
    Shortbarreled shotguns
    Grenade launchers
Destructive devices (like Molitov Cocktails or pipe bombs)
Any Other Weapon (Firearms that do not fall into specifically Title I regulated areas)

What you have to remember though is that these sorts of items are HEAVILY regulated. There are THREE SEPARATE GCA ACTS (1934, 1968, 1986) that regulate these kinds of firearms. For instance, if you want to buy a MG, first it must be have been manufactured, stamped, and registered to the NFRTR by 1986. Anything made after 1986, cannot be transferred to anyone unless you hold a Type 07 with Class 2 SOT modifier Federal Firearms Licence and a letter stating that it is a demo unit for governmental business (as a means of day to day business, individuals are not permitted to be Type 07 SOT FFLs). This fact alone makes a 2oz hunk of metal that the Tech branch has branded a component of a MG worth $10,000 or waaahayhay more. Second, you must file for transfer to the NFA branch of the FBI. This process takes FOREVER (ie, many people waiting for transfer of a silencer are at over 1 year) and includes a studious background check. Not once, but TWICE! Once from the owner to transfer to a Type 01 w/ Class 3 SOT FFL holder and again from the Type 1 Class 3 SOT FFL to you. Each transfer of ownership requires that the previous transfer was completed successfully. You are banking on the hopes that the FFL you are transferring to AND FROM will still be in business by the time the NFA branch processes your 2nd Form 4. Oh, did I mention that BOTH TRANSFERS are taxed at $200 each? Most NFA purchases are lifetime purchases. most owners do not sell them for the reasons stated above.

I will echo @Daniel644 thought on silencers. They aren't JUST for the shooter. They are for anyone within earshot of a gunshot. Everyone at the range, everyone around the range, and that includes animals (like dogs while upland game hunting) has the protection offered by the suppressor and are adventitious for varmint and predator hunting. They don't suppress the sonic boom a supersonic projectile creates as it travels along it's flight path, it significantly reduces the dangerous levels of sound pressure generated at the muzzle of the firearm. Anyone who has stepped into an indoor shooting range would immediately understand the benefit of silencers. One shot is all it takes to PERMANENTLY damage your hearing, which usually results in a lifetime of high and/or low pitched sounds only the listener can hear (Called Tinnitus). Tinnitus is irreversible and cannot be alleviated. There is NOTHING you can do to stop the noise you alone only hear. When you have Tinnitus, you will never again know the peace in silence. silence doesn't exist for you anymore.
