TheFailBot reacted to manikyath in Advice for new home network setup
my only advice as to what brand to get, is to get everything (or as much as possible) from the same brand, and if applicable from within the same product category of a certain brand.
the biggest annoyance in networking equipment is when stuff doesnt play nice together, buying within a single 'ecosystem' can save you quite a headache.
in other words, if you plan on getting ubiquity AP's, get their POE switch. if you plan on getting linksys AP's, get a linksys POE switch (linksys actually has quite a nice ecosystem of small business grade stuff), and if you plan on getting HPE Aruba AP's... do what you want, you're gonna have issues either way...

Some thing like an edge router, then your switch with poe. Add A couple of those round AP's and your good to go.
Not sure if i actually answered your question though

TheFailBot reacted in good gaming monitor for under $225
If you came up about $25 you could get the Asus VG248QE and take advantage of 144Hz and 1ms response time? Other than that this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236174 is a good monitor, has a 2ms response time and full 1080p as well.

TheFailBot reacted to Simons in CNN has revealed the top "Tech Companies of 2014" guess who it is?
You can't really call Ubisoft or Apple anywhere a decent tech company, they release shit products and it is over priced.
And yes I have bought games from Ubisoft, and yes I have owned an iPhone.

TheFailBot reacted to Brett Taggart in CNN has revealed the top "Tech Companies of 2014" guess who it is?
Well its the god forbidden company of (Drum Roll Please.........)
T-Mobile
There was stiff competition from Microsoft and Apple CNN posits that “no other tech company shook up its entire industry the way that T-Mobile (TMUS) did this year.” The market change started once other carriers such as Verizon and AT&T started having good perks, T-Mobile did them better, apparently. The market share went from 11% to 18% this year alone

Not to mention the new Mac with a freakin 5k display has an amd card in it so they will make some money on that so I think they ain't leavin and there future in workstation cards and with Apple looks good

TheFailBot reacted to TheKDub in AMD are failing, and why I feel bad for them.
Perhaps it is because intel is beating them out big time in the CPU world, and currently Nvidia is beating them out in the GPU world.
