Use a computer with CD drive, You should be able to set the CD/DVD drive as a network share.
If not i am sure there is a program you can use to fool the computer into thinking its a HDD. then you can setup a network share.

Not really but if you just want the best detail you can get then put it as low as your printer can go.

You could have all your ports on your windows firewall open and it wouldn't make a difference in reality,
your router's firewall is more important, and all ports should be disabled by default on there anyway.
