DarkAavenger777 reacted to CableMod in corsair rm 750 with cablemod cables
@DarkAavenger777 if your RM unit is the one with the black/yellow label then you would want our yellow label kit:
https://store.cablemod.com/products/?filter_series=c-series-axi-hxi-rm
If it is the RM unit with the black/white label, you would want the black label kit:
https://store.cablemod.com/products/?filter_series=c-series-rmi-rmx
These are both going to be direct replacement kits above depending on which unit you have, each link is provided.
If you do want extensions however, you can find those here:

You don't need to have Live Gold unless you want to race with and against other folks online.

DarkAavenger777 got a reaction from ZeroStressLevel in Is this build alright?
get a hard drive from Seagate if you need more storage which you probably will. and if you want to save some money on the case just get the nzxt h510.
also you could look at some cheap b550 boards as the b450 boards are sometimes not compatible with 3rd gen ryzen chips. you might have to bios update it for it to work. the one I have mentioned in my parts list does work.
to replace your gpu you could get the 5600xt it will definitely beat the 1660 super by a huge margin. it is almost similar to a rtx 2060
I would go with something like this

Probably a GTX 1650, assuming the power supply you're using is as old as the CPU.

What do you mean by "good enough?"
As long as it's a decent drive, then it's fine. Most HDDs are pretty close to the same. Just make sure it's 7200 RPM, and a high cache is nice.

Yup, solid choice.

Hopped onto the game for a bit just to test this out for myself (after a 30GB update, of course).
Turned the render scaling to 200% (resulting in 4K), maxed out all the settings excluding DXR, and I got around 55-65FPS on Grazna Raid, with the slight caveat that at the moment I'm running single-channel memory so while this doesn't strike me as the most memory dependant title, with dual-channel memory you'd probably be seeing at least a few extra frames. Game is definitely playable, but I wouldn't personally run it like this in multiplayer, since the added input lag is noticeable, so flicking and general aiming is quite a bit harder. If you get used to it though it might not be as big of a problem, but still it's not ideal.
Dropping the settings to a mix of low and medium results in a fairly decent experience, even for me. Around 70FPS and pretty stable throughout.
Though keep in mind that this is with a 2070 Super, so a 5700XT would be slightly behind this.
Either way, at 1440p, you'll be more than fine. I played this game at 1440p most of the time and it ran perfectly fine.

On 4K you don't need a 9900k. The 9900K and r5 3600 should perform exactly the same because with pretty much every game at 4K the GPU will be the one and only bottleneck. As you go higher in resolution the CPU matters less and less.

DarkAavenger777 reacted to Eighjan in 2060 super or 5700xt
Well; both those GPU's are better (certainly newer) than my Vega 56 & I have the same CPU, so I can't see that a 5700XT will be too troubled by 1440p.

I did it because I can - my system is hardly anything to shout too loud about.

DarkAavenger777 reacted to GOTSpectrum in 2060 super or 5700xt
No worries, I find a good number of people have their set up on their profile, usually the guys with higher-mid to high end hardware like to have it on show I've noticed.

DarkAavenger777 reacted to Eighjan in 2060 super or 5700xt
I don't presume that everyone does that, as it isn't mandatory for membership of the site.
But thank you for your assistance.

Why not just check the guys profile, their full set up is on there

DarkAavenger777 reacted to ki8aras in 2060 super or 5700xt
i mean it draws like 250w but it works with a 2700

DarkAavenger777 reacted to Eighjan in 2060 super or 5700xt
You must have it paired w/ a 9900K, then... because even a 2080-series card will have a fair to middling battle with decent FPS in 4K & reasonable looking settings.

DarkAavenger777 reacted to ColdPressCoconutOil in 2060 super or 5700xt
not high lol, but you can squeeze out 50 fps if you adjust the settings 😛
-
DarkAavenger777 reacted to Mateyyy in 2060 super or 5700xt
Yeah I agree, 4K High is going to be a little rough on a 5700XT I reckon, mostly because of how fast paced and competitive Modern Warfare is.
Dropping the settings should help a bit though.

so i, the guy with a 5700xt and a 4k monitor wouldnt know???

DarkAavenger777 reacted to Eighjan in 2060 super or 5700xt
5700XT + CoD: MW at 4K on High settings...? Really?!
-
DarkAavenger777 reacted to Stahlmann in 2060 super or 5700xt
The 5700XT is the better choice as long as you don't need any NVidia specific features like NVENC, DLSS or Raytracing to name a few.
