Any fellow Beamspring owners on here?  Also, my first post.  Hi, etc.  Currently working on a Visual 300 terminal keyboard with micro switches I have to research yet.

Yeah it just seems that they only real way is getting someone that speaks English and can further pass you along with troubleshooting/parts replacement process. But definitely understand the unease with fixing something yourself given the warranty being an option. Im almost certain though (could be wrong) that it shouldnt cost you a boat load of money to have it sent back but then again it would be on a flight to China, holiday season is coming up as well and not to mention how long it could sit in customs before it gets to its destination. Hopefully you get some type of good news back though 🤞

Since the release of the 5600xt, it's been a poor buying choice.

That said, if you already have one, and it's performing well enough, i don't see a reason to replace it.

Yeah it's pristine, not a scratch, dent or even missing cover. Paid $150 for it with all the accessories and in a bag, posted pics of that earlier, and $20 for an upgraded processor board. RAM and HDD upgrades were done with old stuff I had laying around.
Even the battery works like new

How about "How much electricity does Linus Tech Media use".
Including how much does it cost. Fluctuations during 12 months period with possible expiations.

Or "How much internet traffic does Linus tech media use".

Also could be interesting to watch a video where a PC and a Laptop run from a car battery.
First using DC to AC converter then without it (maybe even removing power supply and running directly on 12v).
Just interesting how much time is it going to take to drain the battery.
And if its a viable solution for emergency backup during power outage.

What do you do with decommissioned tech. How often do you do it.
It could be interesting how much of the new equipment's cost you can
offset if the old one is sold...

    Air Duster based cooler...
Here is the link how it works
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Now5DujxYLg

    Another interesting idea...
PC or Laptop entirely run on solar power.

Bury a PC block 6 feet undergrounds and see how long is it going to run before thermal throttling.

Go dumpster diving for pc parts and build a single PC
And yeah. How about extracting precious metals from old pc parts

Couple a standard pc air cooler radiator with a drone motor+propeller
and you get the worlds most noisy and the most powerful air cooler

Build a gaming PC + monitor combo that can be carried around easily (handle).
Maybe you could attach the monitor to the side of the block.
Also include a rack where mouse and keyboard can be stored.

Go-Kart reacted to Results45 in RDNA2 VRAM Leaks: Go buy AMD cards if you want more than 10GB.
Like AMD graphics cards released in previous years it seems that upper-midrange RX 6000 SKUs this year will have 50-60% more VRAM than their Nvidia counterparts (i.e. RTX 3070 with 8GB and RTX 3080 with 10GB).

As long as their drivers and other software features (ray-tracing, tensor-DLSS equivalent, latency/frame time reduction, direct storage access, etc.) work well, these might be better buys if they turn out to be readily available online and at stores for near MSRP and if you're looking for cards with enough VRAM for more than just gaming. On the other hand, Nvidia assures that their cards this year are "highly optimized for 4K" as well as the well-known fact that many 3D-rendering and machine-learning applications are designed to run on CUDA.

It is also rumored that Nvidia will match AMD's VRAM offerings with a 16GB RTX 3070TI and 3080 versions, but again it comes down to availability, price, and your use case.

    Update: there it is......

Go-Kart reacted to Hiya! in Before You Buy Gaming Mice (General Technical Terms,Optical vs Laser,Popular Mouse Sensor,Mice Recommendation,And Many More!)
Shopping for a mouse is very simple.
You find a mouse that suits your budget and personal preferences.
But why there are so many mice out there with Laser and Optical sensor? High Dpi? and use different Optical or Laser sensor such as PMW3310/3360/S9800?
And why there's gaming mouse anyway? Can we just buy a regular mouse and use it for everything?
For casual gaming you might be fine with it but if you're a serious gamer. Especially competitive player, Then you will need a gaming mouse.
Why? Because the sensor you found on general optical mouse won't be able to keep up with your hand movement and will fail you in the end.
Many professional FPS player can move their hand at around 2-3m/s and because of this they need a sensor that can keep up with their speed and these sensors are usually found in gaming mice.
That being said doesn't mean you won't need a gaming mouse if you are just a casual gamer. Having a great sensor and features such as tons of buttons for macros or MMO is nice to have.

    7.Mice Recommendation

Before we begin I must remind you that there's no such things as a perfect mouse. Because everyone has their own preferences.
You don't always have to buy the best mouse. It may have the best sensor, the best build quality and the best feature but what if it doesn't suit your hand or grip style? You'll end up feeling uncomfortable when you use it for a long periods of time.
That's why people tend to find a mouse that is perfect for their hand and grip style. They often sacrifice sensor performance and features but only as long as the sensor is good enough for their needs.
But again, everyone is different! Some people might prefer performance over comfort and vice versa.
So a good mouse is a mouse that will suit your budget, your hand and general preferences. You don't always have to buy the best mouse.
And I apologize if there's any grammatical mistakes because English is not my primary language.

I think you could do a very interesting and educational video about pfSense. It's a free open source FreeBSD based firewall/router operating system which can be installed on any computer just like a Linux distro or something. Pair that with a two-slot or bigger Intel network card and you have an incredibly awesome enterprise-grade router. Best of all it requires practically no configuration at all to work just like any normal consumer router, it has everything set ready. Your PiHole video was already good content, but this thing has a much more powerful adblocker. I think many people would be interested in the VPN capabilities too. You can very easily setup a VPN client so that your VPN affects all devices on your network, or even better you can create your own VPN server and connect to it for example from a free WiFi and have a secure network connection and access to your NAS. etc. You can also do interesting stuff like setup a HTTP cache for Steam downloads.
One bad thing about pfSense is that it has basically no support for internal WiFi cards. This means you have to use an external access point for WiFi networks.

I've also been using this a bit the last few days, I have it permanently setup on my bench. Ibm pc350 which has a pentium 166mhz, 32mb ram, stuck in a Matrox Millennium pci 2mb graphics card and a 3gb hard disk. It's running Windows 95C for the fat32 support. It's not the matching monitor but it works 😊

Also have an old HP Vectra so see if it works, it has a Pentium II 333 in it, but it's missing the hard drive cage so will have to figure something out
