So, some of you guys may know that Linus was battleing his fans at ltx, on a inflatable thing for prizes, and i won. Does anyone have footage of me beating Linus? 
 
 

Saw the WAN Show. Pretty sure you already got this feedback. Just to reinforce it.
 
3 Day event. LTX seems big enough now. It seems to be 50/50 gaming and people meet related. It would be a good idea to know how stuff like Anime/Comic conventions handle booths/lines for their creators. If the plan is much bigger then try to get some halls from nearby hotels and such for specific things. Like Board/Arcade/Retro gaming out of main convention centre and focus on creators in the main area. Have line limits, amusement park closed off until more space style. Catering for BYOC was already mentioned but would be nice to have options really nearby all day. Like ice cream/food trucks. If possible, badges with our contact information to just tap at every booth. So no need to write down every time and hold up lines. Easier to manage contact for prizes. Allow main creators to setup their own booths for merch or add it to the main merch booth. I wouldn't mind some tech sponsors selling their products. It would make sense for people that want it but can't justify the shipping eg ifixit. Anime/Comic conventions always have a separate walled off area for this Nitpick butlighting for the main panel area was off. If that can be fixed that would be great. Proper schedule for BYOC night to utilize the big screen would be appreciated. Some lighted areas for people to play board games during BYOC night would be nice addition. Werewolf is a good time in conventions.

hey guys, I've been talking about this a lot in the Discord but I thought I'd share it on the form as a way to archive it to the internet. A number of months ago people started talking about LAN shelves. At the time I have no idea what they were but I started looking into them and thought it would be fun to bring one to LTX. A few weeks later I was thinking about it and realized that since my boss just bought a plasma cutter table I could make something really cool out of steel. A couple more weeks went by and I made up a blueprint to cut it out with. I then figured out I could fit two of them on a 4-ft by 8-ft sheet of steel and figured they'd be decently strong from 10 gauge material (it turned out that 10 gauge was great. It's a bit on the heavy side but this thing is freaking invincible. You can stand on it jump on it do whatever you want and it'll be perfect). a few weeks later I bought that sheet of steel for about $165 and here we are now a couple days after that and a few days before LTX and I got to cut it out. There was an error in cutting one of the pieces out so I only ended up with one usable LAN shelf which is unfortunate but it's still enough for just me, maybe I'll make more to sell next year. Anyway I think it looks great, tell me what you guys think. The top photos are all of what I made and the photo at the bottom is the LAN shelf I got my inspiration from. Feel free to ask questions. Originally I was going to powder coat it LMG orange but I didn't have time for that in the end. I'm not really disappointed though because I still think it looks pretty dang awesome just as raw steel. The best part is it isn't welded together at all, it just is all slid together. With that all the pieces come apart so it's flat and easy to store and transport, but once it's put together it's damn near invincible.
 
Please do correct me if I'm wrong but looking around the internet I can't find any other steel LAN shelf so I'm going to claim this to be the internet's first steel LAN shelf.

You could manually ground that instrument to earth ground, and that would fix the issue (connect the ground of the audio/midi interface to earth ground).  Finding ground faults is a daunting task on any room sized installation of gear, patching them up can be even more of a pain.

So using the LTT water bottle for a couple weeks and I have an issue. When the liquid is less than 30%, I end up dumping water on my crotch. Is this an intended function for self water cooling or a bug? Bug or feature guys let me know. Thanks. 

Louis has been on the WAN show and collabed in a few LTT videos. He's a pretty cool guy for all stuff mac repair related, but is known for his strong opinions... last I heard he was going to LTX, shame he won't be there I was looking forward to it
 
 

El losing her powers ties in quite well to Hopper still being alive. If El had her powers she would know whether he was alive or not because she'd be able to put on her blindfold to look for him. If she hadn't lost her powers then no doubt she would have tried to verify Hopper's death for herself by attempting to locate him, out of grief. We know El can only locate living people (as far as we know) so she'd be able to tell for herself very quickly if she had the power.
 
I think El will somehow partially recover her powers and realise, Hopper is still alive, either by attempting to locate him herself, or inadvertently realising he's alive by finding him in some Russian dude's memory, or something...

The only thing that stuck out with me was Hoppers death and the ending scene in the Russian prison, what personally makes me think that Hopper is "The American" is right before Joyce blew the gate generator, the gate was actually open. And we know at that Russian facility they have the ability to briefly open the gate as well with the generator there and even pull things out hence the Demogorgan in captivity that they are feeding prisoners to. And what my thinking is, is that since we didn't see Hopper actually die and literally right before it blew Hopper looked and saw the gate open, that he jumped through and somehow made it out the other portal which is at the Russian facility with the other gate. Where he is now being held captive. Plus usually with Stranger Things they've been pretty good at either showing deaths of characters or confirming them i.e. Hopper finding Barbs body in Season 1. So with Hopper being as big of a character as he is, not actually showing him die and not confirming it leaves us with a good chance that he is alive. Either that or in season 3 we will get some sort of conformation of his death. But if he is dead, and done with the show, I did feel like it was a good ending for him as a character. That's just my theory with Hopper's "death".

Lucas was pretty awesome too. like axing one of the mind flayer's arms and using fireworks against it in the last ep 
 
i was actually looking forward to seeing Eight and the others again in S3, maybe as support or something. i mean, another person like El would be a huge asset both in field and as a character plot. but then again, El left them in pretty bad terms so it'll probably require some reconciliation 
 
but seeing El kinda lost her powers, it does open up a huge opportunity to bring them back in S4. plus another potential location to visit 
 
i honestly felt the ending to S3 was pretty dead-on and i wouldn't have done it any other way. Hopper's death still has a lasting hurt for me. but thinking about the marketing and stuff people have mentioned it is likely he'll be back. could be the 'American' in the holding cell, or that he went into the Upside Down just as the laser exploded (it will parallel perfectly with the 'keep the door three inches open' from the ending speech, plus explains why there's no body). frankly reminds me of Infinity War when spiderman dies but we definitely know he and everyone else will come back because Marvel already has films set for him after Endgame, so now the impact of their deaths isn't nearly as intense. but it's still very climatic

1. They aren't gone for good. They might do a narrative thing where she lost them temporarily, but she'll get them back in Season 4 either by herself naturally, or through the help of some third party (Eg: That government doctor guy that's "kind of" a good guy, or as mentioned above, one of her sisters).
2. Yep, 100% Hopper is still alive. I believe that he jumped through the portal (or perhaps was thrown through via the explosion), and that this somehow ejected him out through one of the original test sites in Russia. There's little chance that the Russians somehow captured and snuck him out of the facility while the US Government was storming it.
3. Almost certainly she'll be back in Season 4. Can you believe that the actor is 16? I thought she looked even younger than the rest of the cast (too young for Dustin, actually) - but I didn't mind her character. I don't have strong feelings about her character either way.
 
I was actually a little surprised they didn't do anything with the other sisters in this season, but I suspect it was because of how bad a reaction people had to the episode in Season 2 where Elle met her sister and had that little "side adventure" (Seriously though, that was almost certainly a backdoor pilot for the sister - could still happen eventually I suppose).

There was this vending machine in high school that dispensed drinks, particularly ICY Tea. It ate my money one day so I got mad and punched it. A whole 1 USD in quarters fell out so I ended up getting my drink anyway. Later I learned that if you hit the machine in the right spot, money would come out of the change slot. So I never paid for drinks past the first 3 weeks of school. As far as I know, that machine is still there to this day.
