Joined up this morning, got my main PC running it (R7 1700, RX580) but also this little guy:

    Lattepanda Alpha single board computer

It's not the speediest of computers, averaging about 8hours per unit, but i can happily leave it on 24/7 with no worries about heat/noise or electricity usage

a common depth is 29" for servers so if its fully enclosed I would get something a little bigger to allow more room for cables

There are "dorm sized room refrigerator" height racks out there.  I would take a look at Amazon.  They can easily wheel into a closet or under a desk even.  There are also wall mount racks, but I would be sure and screw into the wood studs all the way around as it sounds like there will be a lot of weight in that rack.  The floor mounted wheeled one about 3-4 feet tall would probably be your best bet.

+1 For Simone, even better if you could get her to bring Truckla™ along (custom home-made Tesla truck, made waaaay before the Cybertruck, she even sneaked it into the Cybertruck unveiling event )

    Hello,
I doubt I can make it next year but I'dlike to suggest Brands to rethink the way they interact with the audience to avoid terrible lines. I'm thinking of MSI as an example. They had one activity and for one person at a time, you'd had to spend some hours in line to get there.
As for content creators, may I suggest inviting Simone Giertz? Her robots on the show would be awesome.

Maybe a Computer Hardware Diagnosis challenge? Public bring their broken hardware, contestants are told information about it (what isn't working, symptoms etc.) and the first one to guess the problem wins a Titan RTX or something.

Bring Louis Rossmann since he missed LTX 2019.  He could do a live repair on stage of someone's mac book.

I think he'd be up for a section that is dedicated to a nerf gun war too.

And depending on the size, if it's smaller, have it be at the Richmond Olympic Oval.

I think it would be really cool if you could invite Techmoan (Mat) to LTX20. For enthusisats of vintage and retro audio/video equipment and formats, Techmoan is probably the best content creator to represent that portion of tech releated channels (if you know what I mean). Mat has a huge passion for this sort of stuff and I think he would be a great guest/asset to have at LTX20. If you are going to invite him, I'd send him an email NOW because he comes from the UK and he'll need time to sort things out.

I just fired a quick email over to Louis with some points that he left out of his explanation for some reason.

I hope he plans to clarify what happened fairly soon.

I have zero problems with him not going because of business. If he can't go, he can't go.

What I have problems with is him acting as if Linus asking him whether he could come is some kind of insult to him. His whole answer to the "See you at LTX" by his viewer is in form of a rant made by person who is deeply insulted that someone dared to offer him less than he wanted.

Yay, flights booked, air bnb booked, me and two friends are travelling from the UK

Though that obviously cannot be confirmed, what is the approximate climate expected for vancouver that time of year? (from the baseline UK level)

Thinking of ordering a few suitably geeky items in, but a vague estimate would be handy for tshirts vs jumpers/hoodies

Compared to London, Vancouver's winters are bit colder, summers are a bit hotter, and we get more rain and less overall sun throughout the year.  In other words, pack for a summer in London and you will fit right in.

ETA: looks like my previous numbers for total hours of sunshine was wrong.  Vancouver gets a bit more than London.

Wikipedia says the average high temperature in the summer is around low 20s and has an average precipitation in the upper 40s mm. This is surprisingly (to me anyway) similar to London, according to them anyway.
