Well the speakers are made to pull the sound out of the l and r, not use a seperate subwoofer channel.

So bass won't work well with this setup

Why do they want a 3.5 jack? All the good surround sound setups don't use 3.5, it was made for cheap speakers

What speakers do they have now? Getting better speakers will be a much better improvement than adding 2 channels.

Or get headphones, much better for directional audio.

Do you really need 7.1? A good stero system will sound so much better than this will. Those speakers won't be great.

You can use 3 of the pebbles  connected to the oether channels, and just ignore the subwooffer channel. The logitech speaker won't use the lfe/subwoofer channel

For this budget at the very least get a good center channel. If you have a center channel it is the most important speaker in the whole setup. Everything on screen is going to be coming out of the center channel. Cheap out on anything else, but don't cheap out on the center channel.

I'd bet for this tight of a budget a 2.1 (front left, front right, sub) or 3.1 (front left, front right, center, sub) setup with good speakers is going to sound much better than a 7.1 with bargain bin speakers. 7.1 surround is not going to be an immersive experience when everything sounds like it's coming from mid-range laptop speakers.

Do you want this to sound good?

Id try to get used stuff. A used reciever should be pretty cheap, and then they can decode hdmi autio, and get used/cheap bookshelf speakers. Should sound much better and be cheaper.

I think those cheap speakers won't sound great.

Those cheap usb powered speakers will work with the right adapters, but it won't be great sounding, and probalby not match the mids. Also why get so many? Just use one for each channel. Your probalby gonna need a lot of adapters here.

    This is untrue.
I know programs that show the right voltages better than Ryzen Master.
These programs in my opinion are ALOT better than Ryzen Master.
Ryzen Master is a program that has never shown me the right voltages in comparison to the BIOS.
Maybe that has changed since Ryzen 5000 was released but I would never trust RM over my BIOS.
AMD should stick to what its good at with hardware and stay out of the software market altogether.

Lol yeah, this chip has another problem. It started to restart on completely stock clocks just after few months of use, so I just locked it to 3800 at 1.150v which completely fixed it. I'd get 400 restarts in a month which you can see in my old posts. It wasn't a heat issue or anything, as it'd restart on light load in 99% of cases. I'd use a heavy program for 4 hours no issues, I exit and browse the internet for 10 mins, restart.

That is unrelated to TLB errors, because TLB started appearing after 10 more months of usage. Basically a shit chip. Quite disappointed to be honest. My last intel chip is 11 years old, still zero issues after 50.000 hours.

BTW no yeah 3600 is base but it oc's itself to 4200. 3800 static should be a breeze for it.

Still using it tbh with the errors because I can't do just with a laptop for weeks. Warranty still has 6 months or so so I'll find a window.
Will update when I send it for warranty. On normal use, I get zero issues.

    This is indeed hardware related.
HOWEVER it may not be the CPU.
It could also be the memory or the motherboard.
At least these are the most common causes.

Though I hate to quote someone from the Microsoft website -here it be:
What I would advise first is to default your BIOS.
See if it still occurs if so move on to these other tests:
If it does continue you really should check your CPU, Motherboard, Hardware and Memory with diagnostics software.
Like PB says check the memory with the Memtest86+:
    https://www.memtest.org/

CPU and motherboard I would use:
    https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/cpu-z-download.html
    https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/hwinfo64-download.html
    https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-100
    https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/download-maxon-cinebench.html

    Use:
    https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/coretemp-1-rc1.html
To check voltage stability and also clock timings are correct while testing with the above.

Also don't forget to check your hard drives as well:
    https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/crystaldiskinfo-download.html'

Also for the bouncy ADHD ryzen chip...
I assume the chip is going turbo?
Your can disable the PBO or if you don't want to do that...
    Go into:
Control Panel > Power Options > Change Plan settings > Change advanced plan settings > Processor Power Management:
Change Maximum Processor state from 100% to 99% this will halt the chip from going turbo.

    Motherboard did indeed croak.
1 RAM chip, RX 550 and the 1050 ti didn't make it either.
    CPU survived.

Had to get an ASROCK B450 to check this.

You can watch electroboom with him. (he has got masters degree in electrical engineering btw.

    My condolences.
And I apologize I couldn't be a help to you.

(This is not something I am telling u to do, I just want to share it.
Even if the parts die or fail I store em.
I use em as donor parts when mine or someone else's parts are not working correctly to fix. And I drain all electricity/energy out if em before storing them, safety.)

Good luck for your future endeavours!😇

And I would recommend keeping an eye on that PSU too.👍
What's the name of PSU btw?

kingknightrider got a reaction from Orian Pax in SOLVED -Ryzen Motherboard did die -CPU survived.
    Sorry for the delay.
Gave up and took the weekend off.

Came back to it today and the results:
    Stock fans in the system?

If the stock fans were put to the motherboard the system would not turn on.
Put them straight off the PSU and the fans would run.
The motherboard would also "try" to run if fans were connected to the PSU.
However it would be just a continuous black screen but no POST -even after 5 minutes of waiting.

So know at least the PSU is good enough to handle the Fans -4 of them CPU included.
Motherboard can't seem to handle even one fan.

Tried the CPU stock fan only:
Put the stock fan for the CPU connected to the motherboard it would not run.
Even if I tried different Fan headers.
Put CPU fan to the PSU and the motherboard would do this endless black screen run thing again.

In any case the motherboard would only show the chipset LED -its fan -no matter the condition and it would not run.
Now neither the chipset fan or its LED runs.

And anytime it tried to run -the keyboard -a lit one -would -under normal circumstances light up and go out during boot.
These times however it never even lit up.
While the mouse stayed constantly lit -while it never lit up under normal loading.

Tried different USB slots with only keyboard attached and way back during the time I got the three second response did the keyboard light up.
It however has never lit up again.
Had to check it in another system to makes sure the keyboard was still good.
The same with the mouse but the reverse.

Though these runs just indicate the keyboard, mouse and stock fans and their lights are good.
So I will leave him with a AMD Athalon IIx2 270 Regor system bolted and duct-taped shut beyond anyone's meticulous nature to undo.
Not to mention that all this trial and error has now destroyed yet another graphics card -the 1050ti -no longer works.

Since everything he touched is likely to be junk...
I guess it is time to recycle.

I think it just needs proper CPU and ram seating.
And check if ur keyboard and are mouse getting power.
If they are not CPU needs to be reseated.

Will get them next week when I drop back by.
Should have said I am at my brothers place right now.
I gotta go home and come back by here late next week.
Gave him an old Athlon II x2 270 Regor processor to use in an old AM3 system.
So he has something at least.

Yeah it's possible to remove the socket cover.
This guy done it in AM3, i cannot find videos for AM4, but it is possible, and probably using the same method.
After you remove the cover, clean the paste gently, i suggest using a contact cleaner which is more potent than IPA.

Yeah, unfortunately. I mean there's things to check to ensure a mobo works besides just recognizing the CPU, but you can't tell anything without a CPU. It's just a lifeless hunk of copper and resin.
