  1. Well this is just great. In 1000 years there will be a statue of Linus in The Citadel depecting the human that taught the robot overlords how to type, and therefor program themselves. You fools!
  2. The stadia controller is not just a controller, it (used to) connect directly to the game server, rather than to your device first. Presumeably to reduce input lag.
  3. FYI, the same data is sent to MS weather you use an online or offline account. Your insistance to go against the grain is causing you the problems you are encountering. Just make it an online account a reap the benefits. If you REALLY insisit on doing it that way then contact your MS rep for help, it's included with the license you bought and they will guide you though everything.
  4. This is LTT, all comments about hardware specs should be taken with a pinch of "enthuisast" salt.
  5. Min requirement is having a 4k 60hz screen. Everything else is "it depends".
  6. There is no physical limit in windows, just what your hardware can handle. But apparently windows has the same limit as when I built display systems. The maximum number of adressable screens in display options is 10. So in order to use more you need software that can handle it.
  7. It's the quality of the components that make it so much more expensive. Everything will feel nicer about it when you use it, however, unless you use your screwdriver alot you really won't care too much about how it feels as long as it does the job. Is the LTT screwdriver worth it over the Stanley one? Well that's up to you, plenty of people are very happy driving a Toyota corolla and can't see why a BMW is more expensive, its just a car right? Personally I am excited to try one out, but my tool collection already has 7 ratchet drivers and I definitely have a problem, but I can totally stop and time I want.
  8. It's actually not, the problem is that it's at the VERY high end. It's priced inline with Snap On and probably competes on quality, but the snap on has that sweet sweet warranty.
  9. The numbers method is the way to go. Assign each item in the game a value. Rock = 0 Paper = 1 Scissors = 2 The calculation is: result = P1 - P2 If result < 0 add 3 If result = 0 its a draw If result = 1 P1 wins If result = 2 P2 wins The math works, and its simple code the last 3 should be a switch/case statement.
  10. I dunno man, Amazon is as bad as Google.
  11. What did MS support say when you contacted them for the supported and warrantied product you own?
  12. +1 for httrack. I used it to scrape our companies internal wiki for audit. Takes a while to run but gets every public facing bit of data.
  13. At that price you could employ someone to do all that shit for you for 3 years. Longer if you're a dick about paying a decent wage...or shorter if you live a "NDA required" lifestyle.
  14. I'm wondering if you just do it for a month could you then use their own VPN to appear as if you are from a different country and purchase the 2 year plan cheaper?
  15. Whilst it is a little cheaper to use an extender (as long as you don't also buy a new screen) for a couple hundred dollars more you can get a laptop with a "3060ti" or maybe a "3070", so it's worth considering that option plus an HDMI cable if you want to plug it into a TV. Or you could take your PC and put old chair castor wheels on the bottom and weld a handle to the case to carry it/roll it around.
  16. There is an issue with this. There are very few (if any) decent cost effective 2.5/10gb routers available for consumers. That means you will still be stuck with 1gb speeds unless you upgrade your internal network with expensive hardware to support higher speeds. I worked out the cost for me to do it would pay for an individual 1gb fiber connection to each of my 3 machines for 3 years, at which point something newer and better will be out that will solve the issue in a different way, usually requiring more investment. It's only worth it in a commercial environment that has the need for higher capacity...at the moment.
  17. You can wire up a starter motor to a car battery and fullya submerge it in a pool and it will work just fine. That's because all the contact points are far enough away from each other that they don't short out. Even more complicated electronics can work submerged, as long as the traces are far enough apart. But that requires them to be powered for any issue to occur. As long as you clean and dry leaving no conductive residue it'll never be an issue.
  18. There's an excellent talk that's available on you tube telling you what to do. It's geared more towards creative tasks but is still relevant to you. Search for "fuck you, pay me" and you'll find it.
  19. Search for incremental backup solutions. That's what you need, but with only 1TB each time I'm assuming home use, so can't recommend anything as I've only used enterprise solutions (with enterprise budgets).
  20. What do you actually want ti achieve. They would all allow you to take a full system back up as a file and upload it. It's just a file generated by a backup program after all.
  21. People are right in saying that HDD is fine for games that don't need to load lots of assets all the time, however one thing to also take into account is your network speed. I have gigabit and when downloading via steam I don't get more than 15-20MB/sec download to my HDD but upto 110MB/sec to my Nvme or Ssd. I mean I could have a problem with the HDD and its very anecdotal but I wanted to share that.
  22. It used to be store for business but they took it away in favor of WPM and Intune. Basically you are either part of an organisation that needs to allow the app via UEM, or you've installed the wrong version for your needs.
  23. You can pay the $10 for a months subscription or the $50 for 12 months.
  24. Nooooooo don't do it. It's like using Google to Google the word Google. You'll LITERALLY break the Internet and humanity as we know it will end.
  25. Apparently windows 11 has a new feature built in called voice control. It's not the old voice to text but actual control over the PC, including copy paste, but also much more. Sounds like it could really help you...if it works of course! https://allthings.how/how-to-voice-control-your-windows-11-pc/
