stuwoac reacted to Quantum in anyone going to buy a lg g flex
I personally have one right now and I will most likely return it. I'll give it another week before I return it. Restocking fees are a pain to test out a phone you may or may not like... Oh well, it's understandable why they'd charge it so I don't mind it as much. Camera is mediocre at best and the screen isn't great... Switching to a HTC One for the better build quality and 1080p screen.

stuwoac got a reaction from WelshDdraig in Deus Ex is upon us: "Bionic hand lets wearer feel what they're holding"
of course its letting a computer talk to your brain and back again to the arm in this case but the tech could later on be your phone tv etc
so its something to keep a eye on
it is tech is it not

stuwoac reacted to Priller in overclocking
Get an intel CPU. ROFLMAO
OP.
Leave your Ram speed low 1333-1600.
Look at the voltages under load. It should be about 1.5-1.536. Set your voltage to 1.475 volts and set LLC to Very High.
Now put the multi to give you 4.7Ghz.
Set FSB to 200 (Not auto)
Run stability tests. Rinse and repeat.
If you dont know much about OCing FXs then try to stick with multi as using FSB will increase ram speed and the requirement for increase CPU NB voltage.

The OP ALREADY has a FX-9370 and an ASUS MFA99X EVO R2.0. Why in the WORLD would you recommend him to switch to a completely new platform NOW???
If he was initially considering on getting a FX-9370, then yes, suggesting him to look into an Intel platform would absolutely be logical.
@flrbyu, the FX-9370 should perform quite well at stock speeds. Try it out at stock first. If you don't like it, THEN do some overclocking.
IMO, the H80 is a nice cooler, but I'm not sure if it's up to the task when you start pushing the already insanely fast FX chip.
I Personally, many of the forums members here as well, would not recommend overclocking via software. Straight from the motherboard BIOS would probably be the best method.

You never no until you try is what I do when overclocking.

I'm wanting to overclock my fx 9370 but I'm not sure it would be worth it. I have an H80 closed loop cooler from corsair and it works well at stock clock speeds. The asus mobo I have has a utility but I'm not sure if my cooler can handle it and how would I use the utility and still keep the D.O.C.P. profile or would i have to mess with that too?

op: just go for it and I dout priller would mind if you pm him now and then for advice as your doing it
multithreading is going to be a large part of games soon anyway with the help of win8 knowing what to do with the info
so the amd will be good cheap and shit hot for gaming again
also faa some people are out for cheapness not the fastest for this that and the other
my 8350 eats CAD for breakfast where some i5 i7 on other machines doing the same work load is struggling
