Mr Technician got a reaction from kirashi in Installing windows on new SSD
An OEM license would still work in this case.

Only ever upgrade if your performance isn't up to snuff. It's never time to upgrade if your rig does its job.

Mr Technician got a reaction from Xiauj in RAM Question
Yes, though you wouldn't hurt anything by going to windows first, it would just save you having to go the bios and then back to windows again.
On a side note, my task manager accurately shows my 2933 MHz memory speeds.

Mr Technician got a reaction from Tristerin in Buying RAM off Ebay?
I already have 16gb, I'm going for that sweet 32gb so I can run chrome, video editors, virtual machines, and or game at the same time.

Mr Technician reacted to Tristerin in Buying RAM off Ebay?
Ahhhhh I just looked at your sig - I was rocking 8gb for like 8 months in my 1700 cause RAM prices back at release of Ryzen. Yes 16 is a must for a gamer or tasker

Mr Technician got a reaction from Tristerin in Buying RAM off Ebay?
Yeah I'll probably just save the $13 especially since the seller is pretty close to me. Of course if it ends up being DOA the warranty is irrelevant since Ebay will take care of it. I'm getting tired of not having enough RAM for things!

Mr Technician reacted to AMDKilla in Halo: Master Chief Collection coming to PC
It's been rumoured for months and even years that Halo would be making a return to the PC for Halo Infinite. I think we all hoped that they would release the other Halo games on PC, reignited by Halo Wars 2 being available on both Xbox and PC. Now we have confirmation the Chief is back to finish the fight. All we need now is RTX support, right?

Quad channel mode? Ryzen is always dual channel.

Get an SSD. You're buying a killer GPU and CPU combo and SSDs make a HUGE difference in performance, and they're super cheap these days. Aside from that, it looks like a good build to me.

Mr Technician got a reaction from kb5zue in If Only One Can Be Wired... Which should it be?
But why can you only attach one device to the wired connection? Even if you're out of ports a gigabit switch is cheap on amazon.

Be polite about it but yes, do this.

Mr Technician got a reaction from IgnaBilli official in Cable power supply
What is the wire gauge? If it's at least 18 gauge I'd say it's fine.

Mr Technician reacted to tarfeef101 in Cable power supply
Just in case OP isn't aware, a thicker gauge is a smaller number, so 18 and smaller

Mr Technician reacted to Lurick in Spectrum in Wisconsin Business Internet
Home internet usually has restrictions with hosting high traffic servers, among other things, and doesn't have any guarantee of uptime where business class doesn't have those restrictions and in most cases comes with a guarantee of uptime, support turn around times, etc.

I was able to retrieve the key, thanks!
Edit: it didn't work on my main PC, which I would expect.

Mr Technician got a reaction from myselfolli in Dual 144hz setup on 1440p - not for gaming!
2k is 2048*1080, not 1440p. But why do you need 1440p 144hz if not for gaming?
